I lost big bucks on tickets! – Do not buy event insurance from Allianz.it is a total rip-off and you have to be almist dead for them to pay on a claim!!! They are in cahoots with ticket-services and Ticketmaster to not pay!!! Even though this is the insurance that is offered at the time of ticket purchases!!! Do not buy event tickets from ticket-services either!!!! Another scam!!!
It’s a scam – I purchased a ticket with this ticket insurance because I saw the ‘cooling off policy’ and it was actually about refund the ‘insurance’ which is $2. Do not recommend at all
Don't Bother – Even though we marked the buy insurance box when we had to claim because my husband injured his back and was unable to move we found out that because Allianz had not sent a separate invoice we did not have any insurance. We were supposed to chase it up within 24 hours apparently. What is the point of offering something you do not provide? We had not paid so were not out of pocket as it turned out but we did think we were covered. Bad service.
Fast and easy – Purchased tickets for my partner for Christmas. We both ended up having to work and were unable to attend. Put in claim on Friday with letter from employer and the claim was approved by Monday morning. Money was in my account by Wednesday. Form to fill out was a bit confusing and the staff on the phone was quite rude and condescending, but other than that, the whole experience was very positive and fast.
Don't bother with Allianz Event Ticket Insurance – Event Ticket Insurance Policy is not worth the paper it is written on. "With Event Ticket Insurance, if you can't attend an event for any covered reason – such as illness, airline delays, transport accidents and more – you'll get 100% of the ticket price returned to you." I experienced an airline delay which meant I missed 3 quarters of the event. Allianz was not willing to entertain the idea of a partial refund. $100 for a quarter of football + paying for useless travel/ticket insurance was not worth it!
Claim process was broken as it would not allow me claim online - web form asked for my date of birth which I did not need to provide when taking out the policy. Form returned an error when I attempted to submit. Another 25 mins wasted on hold on the customer support line only to find that there was no cover provided. Very misleading. I would not pay for this insurance in the future.
