Friendly service and reliable team – One of the best fencing companies we have use, as a builder we’ve been through quite a few over the years and I have to say Allwood are the easiest to deal with, we’ve never had an issue with any return to site (not that there’s been many ) Definitely recommend these guys.

gap on our side of the fence when we went halfsies with our neighbour to have both our fence build. We were frustrated with the unfinished job. Had they told us about the extra payment for the gap we would’ve paid it. However, Paul was super unprofessional and have told us to close an approx 15cm gap will be costing us AUD1000 and as quoted by him “it’s not his fault we feel this way”.

Not to mention, before starting the fence building, they have kept in touch with us constantly with our payment. However after payment was made, they did not seem to care to provide us the progress of anything and have left us in the dark. I would like to say we were the unlucky ones that have encounter with this company.

Nothing has changed. Can't deliver a fence – These guys don't know what they are doing. Booked in our fence to be done, got the quotes promptly. They required payment upfront. Did not agree on that, I said 50% at most. 5 weeks went by, no one came. Got re-scheduled. If you don't follow up, no one will contact you. Such a waste of time and energy. Go somewhere else.

Where’s my fence – I paid for my fence in December advising I was moving in in January and could they try to do my fence before February got told it’s the week of the 14th, guess what no fence job not booked. Been waiting over an hour to be given a date. I want a discount for my inconvenience and their muck up

DONT BOTHER ! – Don't waste your time because that's all allwood fencing will do Communication horrible, full of empty promises and still without a fence Do yourself a favour and don't even bother contacted them

RUN AWAY – RUN AWAY! Unfriendly, rude and an extreme pain to deal with especially once we paid and the fence was to be installed. Unfortunately we didn't read reviews before we chose them

Poor communication and below-average quality – We used their services as our neighbour was using it. Quality of work is below average and communication is poor. The fence wood is poor with gaps in between. I Will not recommend it.

Like the quality of work best in the area – satisfied with pricing and quality of work . If compare the fencing in my area the Allwood fencing are the best. Quality of material, alignments, all are perfect. Just had little issue with gate.

When we had our side boundary fences erected by the contractors, there were damages made to our AGI pipe of our retaining wall and when we picked up on it, we sent the feedback to Allwood. Allwood apologized for the damage and advised us there due to the location of retaining wall they were unable to avoid it and as a courtesy, Allwood was kind enough to fix our Side gate (when it was damaged during high winds) at no extra cost.

At the time of this review, we are still in the process of having our back boundary fence erected. Delays were cause due to land titles and ownership of rear lands. No fault of Allwood.

Their prices are very competitive and affordable for a young families such as ourselves.

Everytime we had a concern, Allwood attempted to the best of their ability to rectify our issues. They listened and were able to objectively provide reasoning. It was difficult to get an answer, at the start of the job, however as of late communication has been a lot better.

[name removed] has been exceptional in helping us through all our difficulties and [name removed] has been able to provide a solution for us when we thought we weren't being listened to.

If you decide to go with Allwood Fencing, we highly recommend that you identify any future issues that you can anticipate and bring it to Allwood prior to the job being carried out just so the process will go alot smoother for both parties. The more Allwood knows about the job at hand, the better your experience will be.

Pros: - Prices are competitive - Communication is average (there is definitely an opportunity to grow in this area. Talk to your clients. Find out who they are, their situation and build rapport). - They listen to all concerns and they follow up with clients when issues arise.

Cons: - Contractors damaging existing construction of retaining wall (It would have been best to contact us and advise of any solutions that is possible to protect what is already existing) - Side gate damaged during high winds and when this was rectified, solution was to put a pin on the gate so when its open it can be pinned to the floor. Good solution however this should have been included from the beginning to avoid such damage.

Worst company! Stay away – Very rude on the phone, didn’t complete job for months, full of excuses as to why. Not accountable for own actions. I canceled the job in the end because I’m sick of dealing with them. Warning stay away!!

Great Price. Great Service. What more do you need? – We had our fence installed by Allwood Fencing. It was so easy! They were on time, were completely professional and the price was very competitive. I would definitely use them again.

Below market and good service – Not sure if it's because I am a woman or because my house is in Greenvale, but we had 4 quotes and I was shocked at how expensive it was, fortunately I then called Allwood, they came out and were $15 per metre cheaper, took a little longer for the works to be complete than I wanted but I guess that's understand given rain this week. Jules in the office was very friendly.

Awesome workmanship – Just had our fence finished by Allwood, so impressed with it. Fast, reliable and great workmanship considering our block type and location. Wouldn’t use or recommend anyone else in the future I like reliable good work they delivered on there promises for a great price

Quick response – We took our new house keys today, build was longer than we expected and full of headaches (Major Builder), fence was completed but our neighbours landscaper broke 4 pieces so we could see into their bedroom, I called Allwood and they had someone in the area who came out same day and fixed, only charged us a little for material, very happy and grateful for the good service, office people were very friendly too

Great service, got the job done - didn't muck me around – Recently build in Melton, called 4 fencing companies, only Allwood and another bothered to quote, Allwood was marginally cheaper than the other but importantly not only did the job and cleaned up after themselves but also helped me chased the neighbor as I was the first house in the street and never saw the neighbours during the build

Awful, Rude, Unprofessional, Faulty Workmanship and No Service – I only wish I had read these reviews before using All Wood fencing. This company is awful, rude and have no idea how to build a fence. (of many) was our gate misaligned, to the post, it did not join/close. They refused to fix it even under warranty. So I had to fix it myself. I dug around the post only to find there was nothing holding the post in the ground. They just dug a whole, no cement and stuck it in.

I contacted them again and the owner argued. He said they put 8kg of cement in each post. No evidence of that.

I invited him to come to my house and ‘pick any post’ in the fence and we can dig around it and show him there is no cement, he agreed and we selected a date and time. The date arrived and no one showed. I have been calling since and he is now not returning my calls.

The company knows they are dodgy, inexperienced, perform faulty workmanship and prey on new home owners.

Our fence is now uneven, splitting and on a lean all in less than 12mths.

Never use this company for anything!

We also asked to have two plinths of timber under the fence to raise the height as our house sits higher than a neighbour house and we didn't want to look in their backyard. The rude receptionist wouldn't allow my husband to speak to the person managing the job to ask if this could happen and instead she told us no bad luck!

I do acknowledge that our neighbours were incredibly slow paying Allwood for their half of the fence, but it really seems like Allwood just couldn't be bothered chasing up the money. We were a new house in a new housing estate that unfortunately has a lot of crime. We so badly needed the fences for safety and privacy reasons but Allwood did everything they could to be as slow as possible. It took 4-5 months to get fencing done.

The fencing doesn't look the best either. We have huge gaps under the fence, which means that our animals can escape out of our backyard. We did ask about having timber plinths along the bottom to close the gaps but Allwood would not do them.

To make matters worse, our fencing started to fall down 6 months later and it took them 3 months to fix it!

Seriously, don't use this company!

Extremely poor service – Rude unhelpful and unprofessional staff, when questioned about what they had built couldn't answer the questions, Fence was built on the wrong boundary line and now i'm stuck with it!

Aggressive workers, bad fencing job, poor company in general – Worst fences ever. Got them done in November 2016. We've waited over three months and repeatedly have tried contacting them. However they refuse to reply. Do not hire them. They'll screw you over.

completed and they would be back just to have them never show up. My dog has been kept inside this whole time as we cannot let him out.

I have called and called and each time assured they would be back “next week” but they never show up.

I have 4 emails from the company with different dates that they would be back, yet they still never show up. My builder is now chasing them on my behalf as I seem to be getting no where.

Finally 16 weeks later the fence was completed by someone and it seems to be a decent fence.

Stay away – Worse service and quality. They just walk into your yard when ever they want, very rude. After 1 month the fence is falling apart. Just stay away and use someone else.

Good – All wood fencing has done a good job with our fencing. Though we had bit of a tough time with them initially but they understood the situation and acted promptly. Thanks to the whole team.

Terrible Fences. Customer service even worse! – I first encountered Allwood last year when they practically harrassed me into paying half of our right side fence without prior communication/consultation. A year later we move in our home and we weren't surprised at all at how low quality the fence is. Nails are rusting and there are some deformities already. Needing our back fence, we tried contacting them. They do give competitive quotes but just bear in mind that you get what you pay for.

We thought that we could use their harassment talent in asking for our neighbours' share. We learned that the back lot is not titled with the council yet so we decided to pay for the whole thing for now. We scheduled the job with them,put in our deposit and all but they refused to give us a date. They said that our fence "will just appear". After several rude phone calls and 2 weeks of waiting, we decided to cancel the job and go with another company.

Makes me LOL that they even have the guts to charge us $25 admin fee. How pathetic!

We ended up going with a company that used great quality wood and puta in screws in stead of low quality nails on the joints of our fence. I thank Allwood for their rude customer service that made us cancel with them.

Our new neighbors are asking us about them and we definitely let them know our experience with this crappy company.

Scheduled jobs are bogus – Allwood fencing is terrible at keeping customer informed. They speak to you very rudely most of the time. A scheduled job can never be taken for granted and it's just postponed even though payments have gone through long back. In my case, they say they are waiting for another neighbour to pay even though there IS NO other neighbour.
