Alpine X-Power Series

Good product – Had this amp for a few months now, has performed flawlessly. Has good power output and great control over the sub, much better than my previous amp. The only things I can whinge about is the RUX Knob should come standard, paying $65(AU) for a potentiometer in a tiny metal box with a phone cord is ludicrous!!! And like 99% of amps the SMT pots are friggan useless crap!

warranty, if you do go a grey imported read their warranty and returns conditions THOROUGHLY before purchasing some will not honour warranty unless it installed by a "professional installer" which defeats the purpose of buying online altogether as far as savings go.

The amp itself sounded great, it is a nice compact unit that comfortably fits under my seat(the sole reason why I went for this over the JL Audio amp), made wiring up a lot easier than it would have been with a 4ch and mono block and all was good for 4 months, then it intermittently stopped working a week later it just stopped working altogether, all fuses are fine as is the remote cable, power is going into the amp and the light comes on but no power at the outputs.

After doing a bit of research it seems this is quite a common fault with these amps so I thought I would chuck a review up here, will update it once I have had the amp repaired as to what the fault was and cost. sounded great, size. reliability, warranty conditions from grey importers.
