Alpinestar Tech 7 Drystar not that dry – I bought this boots because I got the impression that the Drystar are 100% waterproofed compared to the normal Tech 7 due to a waterproofed membrane. Quote from Alpinestar : "Drystar® membrane subtly incorporated into chassis for 100% performance against wet penetration." https://www.alpinestars.com/products/tech-7-enduro-drystar-boots First ride I got wet feet after some creek crossings and confirmed via bucket test after coming home. Dealer was very helpful, replaced the boots with a quick turnaround after he confirmed water ingress Replacement was bucket tested when I got them, no leakage was detected.

First ride with replacement boots and I had the same problem, water ingress around the toe box. This time replacement was provided via Alpinestar importer, again after they confirmed water ingress. The third pair again were bucket tested on arrival, no leaks where detected before the first ride.

And pair number three did exactly the same like the two before: water entry around the toe box on the first ride All three pairs where not exposed to standing in water but only to water spray on creek crossing which were well the foot peg level.

After three pairs I gave up on the Drystar and we found another solution with the help of the dealer. In my opinion there is a design fault which causes the membrane to leak as soon as the boots are getting moved. That is consistent with a few other online review and some other riders I spoke to.

I would recommend don't spend the additional money on the Drystar, go for the standard Tech 7 Enduro or MX. Dont get me wrong, they are good boots just the Drystar membrane doesn't cut it

PS: I found several posts on motorbike forums which confirmed the same problem. It looks like the Dry Star have a fundamental design flaw winch means its not a matter of "if", just a matter of "when" they start to leak
