I have been with them for over two years and always found them to be unbelievably helpful and orders always come quickly, despite living remotely. Easy to book appointments, helpful professional doctors, caring staff. Very professional service.
Literally go out of their way to toy with their patients. Lie straight to your face, alter your limits without acknowledgment, say they will resolve it but never follow up. Absolute waste of time and they will 100% make your health worse. Medical malpractice.
The ordering system needs improvement. The portal allowed me to place an order even though the dispensing interval had not expired, which resulted in my order being blocked days later. This is amazing & I love it – Finally I’m able to legally medicate! It takes me about a week to get to get my prescription, as I’m remote in the NT…. I’m really happy with this service, the products are amazing & the staff are always so helpful & friendly. through these guys as I don't have a regular doctor and am unable to track down who gave me the meds, I didn't have to be truthful but I was and got stuffed around from a dumb nurse with no clue trying to tell me that I'd need this handed in no matter who I went through yet I've been approved in past without it, good thing new legal drug dealers like these guys are everywhere these days there over 20 now in Australia so the more these guys lose out the better, I'm now telling every alternaleaf patient to go elsewhere as these guys are complete trash and are not very helpful what so ever! I shouldn’t have to pay for another consult due to alternaleaf inability to provide professional patient care and supply prescribed medications in a timely and professional manner. Extorting patients seeking medical care out or $59 each time your company cannot fulfil the services and products promised because there is apparently no other way for patients to get in touch with anyone in your company to resolve issues (which your company is at fault for) is disgusting. There are other alternative health care companies that provide free consults, so why should anyone go with alternaleaf when it’s this unprofessional?

Absolutely disgusted, as I was demanded by the Dr to make sure at my next consult I supply a letter from my Gp saying he's weening me off some of my medications for medical conditions that are not going to get better & my Gp will not bow down to your Dr demanding this, as he has me on a managed treatment plan & will not be reducing any medication for the several medical conditions that I have & suffer from!

My experience so far has been amazing. I got a call from a registered nurse within a few minutes of enquiring. She was very understanding. I was booked into have a Telehealth appointment with a doctor the same day. Dr Hussain was very understanding and non judgemental. I will continue to go through Alternaleaf long term. Very strange seeing these negative reviews. I have been with Alternaleaf for 1 year now, and not once has my delivery taken more than 48 hours. I'm in Metro Victoria. leaving it at the door and not signing for it. Somehow they are blaming Alternaleaf? Nonsensical. Postie has always required signature from me, and there quite literally is no option to leave unattended since yes, it is medication. That is a carrier issue, not an Alternaleaf issue. I would advise leaving a formal complaint every time this happens via Aus Post website.
To surmise, I highly recommend Alternaleaf. Nothing but good experiences for me so far. Only downside is $15 standardised shipping fee.

Disgusting treatment from this company, first I was given a specific timeframe to wait before driving and told this was accurate then despite waiting for this period before driving and still testing positive was blocked from the system after having a magistrate request verification of this information with a promise to drop charges if the doctor verified having given these instructions. myself over and over bc they didn't understand what I was saying?? Really?? Don't know where they got their nursing degrees from. I only tried them again bc they were offering free Dr consult. Which this nurse denied existed. The wait time to speak to a nurse is 3+ days, then book a Dr appt another 5+ days, then wait for meds another 5+ days. So in around 2+ weeks you might get meds if you're lucky and don't need any further documentation which is another 5+ days. Absolutely terrible customer service. I've recorded alternaleaf as NEVER contact again!! The med-can company I'm with now - called me within 6hrs, no further docs needed, spoke to a Dr the next day and got meds within 3 days. They charge $29 fee but they're so kind, helpful and quick. $29 is a small price to pay. They put patients first and know we are suffering and need pain relief as quickly as possible. on 24 February. Notably, while Alternaleaf has demonstrated the ability to respond publicly to reviews, they have failed to respond to direct patient emails regarding urgent clinical and safety concerns. This disparity strongly suggests a focus on reputation management over patient welfare.
The only communication I have received was a data disclosure email from Alternaleaf’s privacy team. That disclosure proved the core clinical error that triggered this situation.
The documents supplied by Alternaleaf themselves confirm:
- Page 3 lists ETOH/Week: 0, verifying I do not consume alcohol.
- Page 5 contains Dr. Prasad’s note stating “Nil concerns.”
This directly contradicts the claim made by Dr. Beheshteh Khoshaeen, who abruptly cancelled my prescriptions on the basis that my 2023/24 hospital visits were alcohol-related. That claim was factually incorrect and unsupported by my medical records. I am a lifelong non-drinker.
Crucially, my medication, which I had been stable on for over a year, was abruptly ceased with no transition plan, no tapering strategy, and no alternative care pathway. This represents a serious lapse in duty of care and constitutes medical negligence. Being suddenly cut off from long-term medication without clinical justification or continuity planning caused me significant mental distress, worsening anxiety, and psychological harm.
Further reinforcing this, I attended a complimentary second-opinion consultation on 24 February. After independently reviewing my full medical history and the same 2023/24 hospital records, the practitioner stated: “Everything looks fine to me.” He confirmed the visits were not alcohol-related, directly validating that my care was discontinued based on incorrect information rather than a legitimate clinical concern.
Despite being presented with their own records proving the error, Alternaleaf has:
- Failed to acknowledge my formal complaint (Ref #2437943)
- Failed to correct the clinical mistake
- Failed to restore continuity of care
- Failed to address the psychological harm caused
- Failed to communicate in any meaningful way
This is not an isolated incident. Over the past few years, I have been supplied medication that was mouldy or past its expiry date, products that are clearly not of acceptable quality or fit for purpose under the ACL.
When I attempted to escalate these safety risks, I was harassed and threatened by a staff member named Taris, who instructed me to stop making complaints and stated my concerns would no longer be investigated. This retaliatory behaviour is entirely inappropriate in a healthcare setting.
Due to the systemic nature of these failures, I have escalated this matter to Ahpra and the Health and The Health Complains Commissioner. I am also actively exploring legal options, including potential class action discussions, as it appears I am far from the only patient affected.
Alternaleaf’s ability to respond publicly while ignoring direct patient correspondence, even when faced with clear evidence of clinical error and patient harm, speaks volumes.
Seek a brand-agnostic provider elsewhere.

Lack of patient control with options for collection/delivery of medication, lack of transparency. Too many barriers when there is a problem, minimal customer service effort to sort a problem itself. Fast appointments that don't feel genuine or listened to but lots of forms to try and cover themselves. Product prescribed not the best for described medical needs - more for pain relief. The people I spoke to at the company were nice though.

failed to provide follow ups for complaints and insisted that I'd be contacted in the advised time frame but did not, all the while leaving me with no access to scripts. I pushed the complaint further and insisted that a manager rectify my problems preventing me from managing my care and was dismissed from care for "violating community guidelines" which is about as vague as you get. left me in the lurch for about 6 month insisting that procedures were being followed then brushed it all off because I pushed them to follow the correct procedures to allow me to access health care management

Overall impression is they’re a large company and they’ve lost any kind of patient-centric care that you’d be used to in other medical settings. Don’t expect any kind of sensitivity or understanding. It’s quantity over quality, they’re simply taking money for a product.
