Their attempts to remove old wooden battens were so careless that they ended up damaging our roof trusses and causing cracks throughout our high-pitched ceiling. It's baffling that a supposed professional outfit would resort to using a crowbar in such a reckless manner.
What's more alarming is their refusal to take responsibility for their workmanship. Despite clearly making defective repairs, Ambrose is now washing their hands of any warranty obligation, leaving us to deal with the aftermath of their incompetence. As someone who works in the industry, I have never encountered such blatant disregard for quality and accountability.
Furthermore, they've managed to install our fascias incorrectly, positioning them 60mm too low. This error has effectively prevented us from proceeding with the installation of our eave lining, as it would obstruct our front door and window openings. It's a glaring oversight that underscores their lack of attention to detail and basic competence.
In conclusion, dealing with Ambrose has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. Their woeful workmanship, coupled with their refusal to rectify their mistakes, paints a clear picture of a company that should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for competent and responsible roofing services.

electricians to isolate power points a month ago.I have had both rooms sealed off for mould remediation for 2 months. This work has been completed for 2 weeks and I am still waiting for plaster and walls to be repaired. My kitchen has been partly demolished and has been for over a month. The laundry wasn't repaired properly and is now a shell. I could have had an entire home built in the time I have been waiting for these repairs to be completed. The weather here in Melbourne has not been great so, imagine having to do laundry and cook outside for the last 6 weeks! It is unacceptable and inexcusable. Poor performance!

I have been kept informed at every level of the repairs and felt that I was able to discuss any concerns during this process.Every person that I dealt with was very friendly and obliging.Not at any time did I feel unable to communicate with the appropriate person.

Follow-up · Claim was for water coming through the ceiling in a storm. They replaced the ceiling and floorboards. Trades people were top notch. Couldn’t fault them. Longest part was waiting for our tradesman to do pointings as we’re extremely busy.

During a recent severe rain and wind storm, a leak developed between the tiled roof and the bathroom ceiling of our home. Claim made to RAA Insurance and an assessor came a couple of weeks afterwards to assess the damage. He concluded it was caused by incorrect fitting of roof caps. and found that most had caps fitted the same way as ours. Another roof tiler was despatched By Ambrose Construction Group to have a second examination of the capping and fitting and he disagreed with the original assessment and said that the leakage was caused by a tile with a broken edge. He then conducted another inspection and located it. I had a spare tile handy which he fitted and the problem was repaired in 5 minutes. It was not caused by incorrect fitting and sealing of the roof capping. I am glad the second roofer attended otherwise repairs would have involved sealing all of the roof cappings, which wasn't required. I was very happy about this. Later a painter returned to repair and paint the bathroom ceiling and did a firstclass job.

"Whilst at times I felt communication could have been better, I realise also that there are multiple jobs on the go at any one time and the difficulty that exists in co-ordinating multiple trades who in turn get their schedules thrown out with emergency jobs as well. Delay was an issue with the initial cabinet maker pulling the pin which resulted in loss of several weeks particularly the timing of it with the approaching shut downs over the Christmas New Year period. Special shout out to Chris Craig for his co-ordination on the initial remediation stage. Service and communication superb. Great ethic. Also to Jay Nguyen on the rebuild stage his job made harder in having to deal with me on behalf of the insured elderly client and needing to work around my availabilities given I did not reside at the property. Very patient. . Out of all the trades I rate Brodey and his team from Heidi as the best. The work ethic, care they took, keen awareness of OHS&E, site protection and regard for the client was outstanding.

Ambrose took care of my repairs to Cornice, eaves and walls after water damage . RAC insurance sent them to do our job and they were very professional and kept us updated on the progress of the job. The tradesman was very good, neat and tidy. Left the place nice and clean.

'tradies' that were busting their arses working Sunday evenings and reportedly getting paid fuck all. Could be a sign of the times but I'd be pretty disappointed if I'd paid a fortune for a shoddily built house
Scam company. Received shoes several sizes too small (and not the size I ordered) and they will not refund me until I pay to ship the shoes back - despite the fact that it is their error.
A 3 week project took 11 weeks. The worst project management I have ever come across. Hardly any communication time line etc.

Ambrose workmen replaced my hail damaged roof & garage. They were polite & very helpful to me a Woman of 80 years young & my neighbours throughout the whole process of work - they were considerate of the stressful situation & made the process easier to handle.
