Their attempts to remove old wooden battens were so careless that they ended up damaging our roof trusses and causing cracks throughout our high-pitched ceiling. It's baffling that a supposed professional outfit would resort to using a crowbar in such a reckless manner.
What's more alarming is their refusal to take responsibility for their workmanship. Despite clearly making defective repairs, Ambrose is now washing their hands of any warranty obligation, leaving us to deal with the aftermath of their incompetence. As someone who works in the industry, I have never encountered such blatant disregard for quality and accountability.
Furthermore, they've managed to install our fascias incorrectly, positioning them 60mm too low. This error has effectively prevented us from proceeding with the installation of our eave lining, as it would obstruct our front door and window openings. It's a glaring oversight that underscores their lack of attention to detail and basic competence.
In conclusion, dealing with Ambrose has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. Their woeful workmanship, coupled with their refusal to rectify their mistakes, paints a clear picture of a company that should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for competent and responsible roofing services.

electricians to isolate power points a month ago.I have had both rooms sealed off for mould remediation for 2 months. This work has been completed for 2 weeks and I am still waiting for plaster and walls to be repaired. My kitchen has been partly demolished and has been for over a month. The laundry wasn't repaired properly and is now a shell. I could have had an entire home built in the time I have been waiting for these repairs to be completed. The weather here in Melbourne has not been great so, imagine having to do laundry and cook outside for the last 6 weeks! It is unacceptable and inexcusable. Poor performance!

I have been kept informed at every level of the repairs and felt that I was able to discuss any concerns during this process.Every person that I dealt with was very friendly and obliging.Not at any time did I feel unable to communicate with the appropriate person.

Follow-up · The old shed was good & solid & suited me well. All though the experience was good at first it didn't take long for a couple of problems to appear, the roller doors come out of their tracks & the ridge cap on the roof allows all the small bits of rubbish from the trees to blow in making a lot of mess. I use the shed for both storage & to do things such as mechanical and fabrication with both metal & timber.

Follow-up · Rain water had entered our roof after a fallen tree branch had dislodged tiles. Ceilings in two rooms were saturated, far worse than we thought. Both ceilings were replaced and painted. What really impressed me was the five star management of both the trades, the process from start to finish and the level of communication between the 'Cordinator' of the job and myself.

Delay was an issue with the initial cabinet maker pulling the pin which resulted in loss of several weeks particularly the timing of it with the approaching shut downs over the Christmas New Year period. Special shout out to Chris Craig for his co-ordination on the initial remediation stage. Service and communication superb. Great ethic. Also to Jay Nguyen on the rebuild stage his job made harder in having to deal with me on behalf of the insured elderly client and needing to work around my availabilities given I did not reside at the property. Very patient. . Out of all the trades I rate Brodey and his team from Heidi as the best. The work ethic, care they took, keen awareness of OHS&E, site protection and regard for the client was outstanding.

The project did not always go to plan, but Jackson always kept in touch to ensure we were up to date at every stage and that we were happy. Overall, the whole experience was easy and we are very happy with the outcome.
It was a pleasure dealing with Jackson. His communication was first class. He followed up on requests and returned phone calls as soon as possible if missed. It was fantastic to have the one person handling our claim too, that meant no miscommunication. Jackson was certainly terrific to deal with. Prompt, efficient, courteous and organised.

Ambrose workmen replaced my hail damaged roof & garage. They were polite & very helpful to me a Woman of 80 years young & my neighbours throughout the whole process of work - they were considerate of the stressful situation & made the process easier to handle. Very satisfied with the workmanship & the cleanup afterwards was meticulous.
Krystal was fantastic with the coordination and time frame, and arranged the completion before we were away. The 2 trades that came were prompt, clean, respectful and professional. They were thorough.
Abrose was very good in keeping us in the loop with the repair process. Our dedicated rep liaised with the repairers constantly during the whole process. Very happy with the repairs.

Insurance repairs - In a one liner don't recommend them at all. Mismanaged and extremely slow process , with terrible tradies. Also don't think they they care for their customers. Looks like the tradies don't know their jobs well enough. Also the whole process is very slow. I am not sure how they handle big jobs because they are not able to take care of such a small job in time.
Clients and contractors beware. I have 12+ years working in insurance and this builder is BY FAR one of the worst (top 2). Campbell's construction, are all good builders that aren't run by greedy tyrants. If you're a contractor, its only a matter of time until they screw you, not if but when.
Sasha – They received the job for the air-conditioning replacement four weeks ago and require an additional four weeks to complete it. However, at this point, they have no updates. Sasha, the building supervisor, is very rude, and I would recommend avoiding any interaction with her.

My property was affected by the hail storm of Jan 26. My insurer appointed Ambrose to oversee and manage the ensuing repair work. Ambrose is a well organised company. They contacted me regularly and advised me of the next steps that they were going to take to complete the repairs. The tradies were experienced. I'm pleased with the results.
