Claimed to have 10 years service life on the battery. We replaced our old detectors(never had a problem - and they did the job-when we had a BBQ. The new "PHOTOELECRIC" installed in June. One went off in the middle of the night >> 3 beeps --makes you stand up---but which one was it??? Back to bed agin after a few minutes agin - 3 beeps and then the alarm went off. Removed it. Told the seller on ebay and received a replacement. I left the culprit on --and it never went off agin > the replacement did! Manufacturing date on the larms is 2026-02-06. Now removed all larms, contacted ANKA> anka@anka-security.com. No answer yet. I suggest NOT to buy this type of smoke larm if you value a good nights sleep 28.August 2026 today
