Anthropic

I could not recommend Anthropic as a company to pay a single cent to. Some of their tools can be impressive when they work, but far too often they simply do not, and when something goes wrong, their customer support is effectively non-existent. Their “support” is an AI bot that tells you it will escalate your issue to a human. You then never hear from that human. Anthropic has to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer support. You are essentially on your own. You might as well be dealing with Airbnb, and that says a lot.

The token usage is another major problem. Their products can burn through tokens at an incredible rate, with usage issues being consistently reported by users on platforms such as Reddit. The frustrating part is that Anthropic appears to have little interest in addressing it. You are paying for the service, their systems consume the resources, and their response seems to be, essentially, “tough luck.”

Even basic functionality is frustrating. Claude struggles to consistently retain settings and preferences, regardless of whether you are using skills, preferences, or other configuration options. Searching through your own conversations is another example. Try finding a specific term from a conversation four days ago. Anthropic’s apparent solution is to download your entire chat history and search through it yourself.

Seriously, how is that acceptable in 2026? We are constantly being told that AI is transforming technology, yet you cannot even properly search your own conversations or get a human being to contact you when the product is malfunctioning.

I paid for an annual subscription, and honestly, it is one of the worst purchasing decisions I have made. I am now counting down the days until I can leave the platform.

If I could give Anthropic zero stars, I absolutely would.
