OK – I bought one of these several years ago. It is a great little unit. I rarely use it these days but when I did it was perfect. Reasonably priced too. Would like to upgrade to an Iphone eventually. These are great if your just looking to store music and nothing else! Stores my songs. Short battery life

Good – As mentioned above, I have bought other mp3 players, only to come back to this one. It is extremely easy to use and plays videos as well. I am not at all computer techy, but even I can use the Itunes store, so that is very easy to use, only wish it was easy to get into now for us. Overall, I really like this product, although it would be nice if… Read more

it came with a belt or something because its very big and heavy to carry around when going for a walk. It incredible how many varieties of these mp3 players they keep coming up with each year. There are so many choices and just to save money, I have bought other mp3 players before I laid out the money for this one. But I have had to purchase this one just because it works the best. Pretty expensive, but the price has come down in recent years, so thats not a problem. I find it confusing that there are so many different types and styles, its really worth to do the comarison beforehand to see which one suits you. The Itunes store is a bit hard to access because we have had some problem with our computer reboot or something, so it would be nice if the store was a bit more user friendly. The ear phones are horrid, if I listen to the music, the person next to me can hear it too. They should make better earphones which dont leak out the noise.

Good – My overall opinion is positive. without my iPod Video 5th Generation, I would be stuck with an iPod Nano or iPod Classic 6th Generation which, I'm not saying is negative, but I would still like to have the comfort of the 5th generation iPod Video. The iPod Shuffle is out of the question for me. This iPod Video is a great gadget for music. Its not… Read more

too small and not too big. It varies from 30GB to 60GB to 80GB which gives you plenty of disk space to store your music, photographs and videos as wel as podcasts and audiobooks. It has a clear screen image and has the option of displaying album artwork or not, whereas the new iPod classic displays a default picture fro music without an album artwork. The battery on this iPod does not last too long. Watching a tv episode eats up half the battery and viewing your slideshow in the photos section contributes to the loss of battery. You are able to adjust the brightness settings to save power but it gets to dim, for me.

Excellent – it is like all the other Apple products I have - they are all unbelievable. Yes they are a bit more expensive but you do really get what you pay for and the customer support is second to none. Everything is great - picture quality is fantastic. I have the 16 Gig version and wonder why I need so much storage - I have heaps of stuff stored and still… Read more

only have just over 1 Gig used. Should some with a built in wrist strap as it can very easily slip out of your hand.

Good – First got this when it came out, it was fabulous then, and now, a few years later it is still being used and has no problems at all. My husband now uses this one as he likes the video playback, as well as the music hook up in the car. Excellent storage - I can't even get close to the limit, nice colour, like the shiny back Bit hard to lug it… Read more

around when exercising (small complaint really), gets scratched very easily - using a plastic/silicon protector detracts from the overall look. Dislike itunes and the fact it locks to one computer - these days, who only has access to one computer?

Excellent – This is the mp3 you have to buy if you are looking for something with a lot of space, something that is very cheap and something that can play music and videos. It is a very stylish mp3 player, the sound quality is very good and that it can play videos now and also do podcasts. This mp3 ranges from 1 gig to 80 gigs. This mp3 is also very cheap now… Read more

as there is a lot of competition so you can buy a 30 gig mp3 for the price of $350. The headphones you get are nto long lasting as they break after a while.

Good – I have my old 20GB ipod and it still works. the click wheel is pretty sensitive, some people hate it I personally like it. My LCD screen is not the coloured version but it displays the name of the song and the artist pretty clear. I still use the unit for my long drives and I must say that you need to arrange your music in different play list to… Read more

cater what you want to listen as you would be listening to the whole hard disk of music that you may not want to. In some ways I prefer this MP3 player to the new touch screen version. the downside is no Picture or video output for the old version. easy touch wheel to fast access battery life

Excellent – Another great apple product. Small and compact, simple to use, awsome storage capacity. Video playback looks great. Battery last for ages when playing music and lasts about 3 hours when watching movies. The back of the ipod does scratch easy.

OK – Overall, i think it's worth the money. I've had mine for 3 years and it hasn't broken or anything. Just small things but that is normal in all appliances. Battery life is pretty long, so that is good. I like the big screen, great storage capacity. The image is really clear and everything is easily accessible. Scratches easily at the back, and the… Read more

front screen leaves lots of fingerprints. Sometimes it freezes up but it is usually fine after a few minutes. Also it's a bit heavy but you can always get the new version.

Excellent – I've had my Ipod for about two years and I love everything about it. I have downloaded movies and listen to music in my car as I bought a reciever so I can listen to it through my car speakers. It's great when your job takes you on long trip on the road, you can listen to all your favorites. I had to but a case for it with a screen protector… Read more

to avoid fingerprints and scratches and it it light weight and feels a bit delicate, but overall, it the best thing i've bought in a long time, I'm really happy with it! Love everything about it, Loads of storage for music and videos.

Sleek design. A bit delicate, you definately need a screen protector.

Excellent – The ipod is a great thing. You can buy software online or in the shops to convert anything you want into ipod format then sync the ipod via itunes and you have a copy of it on your ipod. Sooo simple to use and everyone should have one. I love the new brighter screen on this one. It has massive storage and plays videos back brilliantly. I have… Read more

Excellent – My husband bought this ipod to me as a present. It's a 80gb which makes it more fun as I can store a lot of music. I have 4,000+ songs in my ipod and I still have long way to go before my ipod's memory is full. The sound is really great. It's very easy to use and it's easy to transfer songs from your computer to your ipod. I love everything about… Read more

this ipod. I can store thousands of songs, videos, and pictures. The sound is really good, pictures and videos are good too. It takes a few seconds once you click on a song or video to appear. It does make loud noise when you drag or click the files.

Excellent – I own the iPod video 30gb, which i dont think is made anymore. It was one of the first that came out in this range, i think i purchased it in 2006. It has not once failed on me, the battery life is brilliant and the clarity on the screen is great. This is a huge improvement on the iPod mini i previously owned, which had a shocking battery life and… Read more

frequently froze. iTunes is fanastic also, and with the iTunes store it is easy to purchase any music at the click of a button. Well worth the money!! Extremely durable, not broken once, good sound, love the video component.

Excellent – Apple iPod Video for me is the best gadget ever that I ever bought. I wish other iPod type will also caught my eye too, so for the next April pay day, I could buy one for my mother. Apple iPod Video is hot, I like the sound I just buy for my girlfriend. She likes it because 45 percent thinner than her old iPod!. Personally I buy this new iPod… Read more

video player because I like the wheel touch sensor controls!, and I can sync with my iTune software easily, more over It features a sharp and colourful display and is able to show me my favourite mp3 playlist fast and easily. If you like playing mp3, video all of the time and that's your life, I recommended that you buy this iPod Video, you'll never regret trust me. Because my mp3 collection is about 120GB, pretty big collection since 1980-2008, I think this mp3 player should upgrade the space capacity, so I can easily manage my mp3, mp4, video collection and throw away my mp3 dvd, cd and all of songs in my PC.

OK – a great idea by apple which was lost on the team who actually designed what it looked like. the things aren't very durable and break down more than a datsun 180-B. i have had 5 ipods and stupidly when one breaks, rather than learn my lesson and get a different kind of mp3 player, i foolishly return to what i'm used to. stores thousands of mp3s,… Read more

easy to manage playlists, integration with itunes and the itunes store, not durable or built for active people. slippery as a bar of soap meaning during movement if its not secured, is going to move or perhaps drop from a great height. has occasional trouble turning off or booting up if left unplayed for a few days.

Good – If I tell you I own ten of these Video iPods, you will think it's not true. But yes, I have them all. 30GB, 60GB, 80GB and now the 160GB (Classic) in multiple units. I am not fanatical about them but I do a lot of work with them. They are robust, reliable and work as they should all the time. And with an Apple extended warranty is definite good… Read more

value. All accessories work as they should. Buy them anywhere and you can get a warranty replacement at the nearest Apple store. iTunes as an accompaniment is excellent and it functions as a hard disk for data storage as well. Uploading is easy with iTunes. The only thing I hate is that once you put stuff in, you can't take it out (copyright theft protection) but there are ways around this if you look hard enough. Simple to use, plenty of accessories, crisp, clear and works when you want it to work. When the battery fails, it costs a bomb to replace it, iTunes is getting larger and larger in size.

Good – Great portable music device and quite good value for money, however there are some issues with the battery like and with repairs if you do not purchase the extended warranty.
