Aprilia SXV 4.5 SuperMoto
2 reviews
Beast of a supermotard – This bike has plenty of power as would be expected from a 450, it revs up nice and quick. It handles really well, and brakes even better. The dash has some cool features, and is integrated with the handlebar controls. The frame and swingarm etc look pretty cool. If you want something that is very cheap to maintain, and has the best fuel economy etc., then stick to the Dr's, ttr's and xr's etc, but if you want to be on a very fun bike that goes well, than this bike does the trick. Dash intergrated with handlbar controls, looks, power, brakes. no kickstart, have to drop engine to check valves,
OK – Great bike but a total let down for servicing, Aprilia dealers few and far between. If buying a SXV from new negotiate price against the dollar your going to loose on servicing. Also look at Husky SM an Ducati hyper motard Very quick off the mark and out of corners, great styling which is years ahead of its time. First service interval and cost ! beware of service, 500ks first service $270 then every 3000k's full service, at 9000K's aprilia reccomend new piston kits. engine to be removed on every main service to gain access to valve gear for clearance ajustments. Oil seals failing between crank and gearbox, plastics cracking and crazing after 500ks
