Aqua One LCD Electronic Thermometer

Thanks for the heads up – I came here trying to understand why my lcd thermometer was reading 3C below the manual and now I think I have it - they are just dangerously wrong! Thanks for the help :)

Hopelessly Inaccurate – Bought two of these - one for each of my tanks. Completely inaccurate to the point where my Discus fish started to get sick. I have an infrared laser temperature measurer and it IS completely accurate. The Aqua One tells me my tank is 22.3c. In reality my tank is 29.4c which is exactly where it should be. The Aqua One is useless.

Seem to have a high failure rate – Purchased four of these as they seemed like good value for money. However after only a couple of months three of them have failed - 2 of them are giving very inaccurate readings, and 1 of them is displaying "H" which according to the instructions means its over 50 deg C.

Wrong Reading – Having been using this for about 1 month. Didn't realise the reading was wrong. It was until when our fish started acting a bit funny. All the symptoms start pointing to the temperature. We bought a different thermometer and realise tank temperature was 6 degrees hotter than what was displayed by this thermometer. Almost killed 30 fishes. Stay away from this
