Good product – I bought this or very similar product from aldi fourteen years ago. I have three all over ten years old. Experience has taught me not to place the outdoor sensor in direct sunlight, or rain/snow fall. Use good quality batteries especially outside, frost will kill them as does rain and snow the product is not waterproof. Under a pot or glass… Read more

something that wont blow over is an idea. I took the front of an old bird box and have had no problems until now. The batteries are flattening very quickly, although this could be the age I find small insects like to visit, if the side plug cap is left open. The indoor unit speaks for itself ? I dont like the alarm set up it faffy but all in all a very excellent machine.

Perfect??? – I have bought this station at Aldi. It was rather cheap, but I was interested in the system. Till now, it works well and absolutely reliably and correctly. Aldi often brings good quality at at good price, but not always. So, I am curious to see how long it lasts. The outside station is not perfectly protected against rain (or water). I have put it… Read more

on bars in a place where then sun doesn't reach it and put a beer glass over it. It works well and correctly, even through the shutters. For the moment, it's all perfect. Let's hope it will last.

good station – have this station for for some years and up to now I have to day best station I've ever had. Battery life is okay to me - I use Durazell and need to replace 1-2 times a year. I usually replace the outer sensor before winter as otherwise it looses connection on cold winter nights. Sensor defect some month ago - found a replacement with a local… Read more

supplier (Austria) for 16 Euro. Usually you don't get replacements after some years but need to buy all new - which is not ecological.

Good Device – We've had this weather station from ALDI for a couple of years. But I have lost the instructions and can't locate them in English on line. Usually it works well. Battery life OK. Recently the indoor readout from the outdoor device has been flashing and I cant find the reason. It fixes itself then happens again a few days later. But all in all we… Read more

are happy with it. It delivers accurate and very useful information! Undiagnosed flashing lcd characters from outside device.

Poor battery life – I purchased an ASCOT WEATHER STATION from ALDI in November 2012 and am on my third set of extra long life batteries for the outside sensor. When I try helpline phone numbers I am told not recognised. Also it is impossible to find an ALDI phone number to complain to them. Shop staff are unable to assist.

Terrible – Not enough information regarding regarding replacement parts. Aldi keep presenting the whole package. The indoor section works perfectly well but it is only doing half of it's job without the outside sensor. Easy to read & quite presentable. Outside Sensor stsopped working and unable to find where to have it replaced.

Excellent – Outstanding weather station that looks good and performs extremely well. Battery life is good about 18 months in the main unit and about two years in the outdoor sensor. Easy to Read, weather prediction accurate, barometer height setting You need a manual to change settings and to set up - not intuitive Show 2 replies

not bad bit tricky just got to have faith – the only thing wrong is you can't get exact elevation to the dot .unless anyone can help?you might try a link to altitude levels for your area to know the basics in weather tricky to start up,you need to know the hight where you are

Hi: Google Earth , when clicked on your location, will give the height in metres AMSL down in the centre of the bottom panel after the Lat/Long.
