Excellent customer service – I was so pleased to receive Astra Walker’s generous offer of a replacement tap. A beautiful high quality stainless steel tap soon arrived to replace my blue tap which had started to lose its coating. Great company to deal with – We ordered some tapware from AW and unfortunately due to Aus Post it did not arrive, we contacted Astra Walker and they are now sending the whole order to us again at absolutely no charge! Poor quality anodised finish. Beautiful tap - appalling customer service – My tap is beautiful. But it was weeks delayed in its arrival (an increase in the production time given on their website by 40%) and when it finally arrived it was missing a part. For such an expensive item I expect more. I still can't install my tap and the delays have left me out of pocket with tradesmen callbacks.

Lacks quality n service – 3 tap sets all leaked. Shower goose neck missing o ring. Been waiting over a week for response via Plumber Supply Company. Wanted to support Aussie business. Chinese faulty bathed replaced within days.

I require service and parts, and decided to purchase from Astra Walker 2 "Olde English Signature" exposed shower sets with a made to specification riser tube so that I could retro fit the shower sets into pre-existing holes. Prior to the plumber installing the product the first thing I noticed about the product was the quality of the materials as well as the quality of the finish. During installation the plumber had a couple of questions and Astra Walker took my call and put me through to a technical representative to get the answers the plumber was looking for without delay. The end result was stunning.

After installation I contacted Astra Walker after sales service to get an additional mixer cartridge (just in case of future failure), Ken who answered my email within an hour told me how this can be done and arranged it for me whilst keeping in contact during the delivery process.

My wife and I both agree that our purchase has in fact turned into a great decision.

Don't believe all the rubbish you read on Product Review from disaffected individuals – I did a complete refit of my bathroom 12 months ago exclusively with Astra Walker products, and the quality of their product and service was impeccable - they delivered what they promised!

Astra does care about their customers and products – Have had some progress after failed communication with one of the employee’s of Astra. we were finally able to not only resolve our initial complaint but were provided additional warranty with new replacements from date of hand over. Although it did take some time to resolve, we are now very happy and over the moon with the personal services provided from the representative and owner of Astra. We were able to also provide feedback which they have taken on board. It has been such a positive and pleasant turn a round from the initial disappointing handling of our dispute.

Spent over $10000 on tap wear for our brand new house only for the coating to peel off after 6months. Have contacted customer service/warranty department to advised of faulty products a year ago and they have provided empty promises to replace all items. They are now saying that it is wear and tear so will not replace or fix it. Terrible product and after warranty services. Will have to now dispute through fair trading and report to ACCC and seek advice through lawyers on how we can get a refund through civil court. Absolutely appalling services and terrible product! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

*They state 15 year replacement product warranty* from date of purchase. Astra Walker will repair or, at its option, replace any goods which are defective through faulty workmanship or materials,free of charge and labour, within the first 2 years is misleading and false.

Terrible mechanism – When we finally got our taps and installed them they looked great. However the actual turning on & off is like turning in a rusty farm tap. It ‘grinds, is uneven (so you think you’ve turned them on all the way then discover if you get past that stiffness, there’s more. Difficult to actually describe - not smooth. Should have kept my old ones & just bought new spindles!

Horrendous experience with faulty product – I am an Interior Designer who ordered a kitchen mixer tap from Astra Walker Icon A69.08.V3. benchtop. Reported the issue straightaway, sent videos various times, had plumber return (additional cost to me) as per Astra Walker instruction. Added further hoses to avoid any tension but still no improvement. They refused to send someone out, refused there was a problem with their tap. In order for some resolution they needed to test the tap in the English Brass finish I ordered. Special finishes take time. Astra Walker could not give me a time frame of when this may happen. Just the usual runaround. I think the most frustrating part is wanting an answer but you get nothing. The after sales service is horrendous. I have emailed and phoned this company multiple times. I first reported this issue on the 10th of May. I am still waiting for a resolution more than 2 months on. Guys it’s a tap, come on. Look after your customers. I warn others if you want to avoid problems don’t go through this company. I am intending on getting a refund and to buy another tap from another company that works. I understand in this industry you do come across issues but I would have thought it could be easily resolved. The worst after sales experience I have received. Very rude employees, no answers. It’s a shame as they do have some lovely products but with the service I have received, I wouldn’t want the lovely products if this is the experience. It’s just not worth it.

UPDATE. Returned Astra Walker Tap for a full refund. The retail outlet were very understanding. Astra Walker is still sticking to the ‘Not fit for purpose’ comment. Installed a new tap from a different company and straight away works like a dream. I cannot believe I was persisting with Astra Walker for months when in less than 24hrs I had a fully functioning tap from a different company who if I may mention were lovely and so very helpful to deal with.

After sales warranty service is horrible, borderline ACCC worthy – My advise is to be aware if you have to claim anything against warranty. Currently having significant issues with Astra Walker cistern, even though it was installed a week ago (much the same as the other review). Service line taking no responsibility, rude, piling up bills from plumbers trying to resolve an issue of a faulty product.

Eco brass – After reading reviews of this product i was reluctant to purchase , we ordered a house full of the eco brass icon range , and all is perfect , looks fantastic with no problems whatsoever

Disappointing – We ordered tapwear from astra walker earlier in the year. It took 4 months to be delivered, after a quote of 8-12 weeks, which is astronomical. different items we bought in the Eco Brass range and I have emailed them with cleaning instructions - I tried using brasso which has wiped off the finish on one of the taps. In short, these taps have been a total disaster! I advise you avoid this business.
