Bought brand new ata gdo6v3 gen 2 . Run 11 months . Warranty not cover by thunder ??? – Bought brand new ata gdo6v3 gen 2 . Run 11 months , the transformer inside not working 24v source. Call warranty number thhe Ebay seller gave. Their technican said the warranty not cover by thunder lightning. What the hell no proofs to claim problems not by human !!! Don’t trust ata . Ads big mouth with 5 years warranty.

Disappointed ATA GDO8 Product – Had installed ATA GDO8 garage door opener which broke down right outside of the 2-year warranty. A serviceman replaced the circuit board inside and it worked again. A year later, the roller door didn't work again. I was told to replace a new opener. ATA is the same manufacturer of B&D which we used many years ago and had no problem previously. However this one had been serviced a few times during the warranty period and failed totally in 3 years time. Will never buy B&D or ATA products again.

Works well as an opener but makes irritating humming sound. However the company responded well to t – I have had a few ATA garage door openers in various houses that I have rented or owned and they have always been good. So this time I decided to buy another ATA opener. While it works well and does the job, I was irritated to find that it makes constant humming sound when all other ATA garage door openers that I have used were completely silent when in standby mode. I had the installer replace the unit with a silent one, but then after a while it also started humming. All in all I would not recommend this product. If they cant make one that is silent, then buy another brand.

An update. I complained to ATA again (2 years later) after the unit was vibrating even more. They changed the unit over to an ATA GDO-6v3 which is silent. All good now. Good customer relations. works well irritating humming sound

what a load of rubbish – Had one installed by Warilla nsw company,never worked properly from the get go,would stop halfway up,wouldnt run at all have had the unit for approx nine years,must have recycled the settings over thousand times in that time ,At the start i rang the company up they came and all they did is what I was doing ,resetting all the limits etc.Must have rung them three-four times with same result ,last time "Looks like we will have to get a new controller board from Melbourne",never heard from them again, have persisted with it all this time ,rang them the other day,talked to me like I was some type of stupid "go back to your door manufacture get them to service it". They called,it is now being replaced by a Merlin which will be installed tomorrow.DONT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A FORTY FOOT POLE.
