Laughably Priced 8bit gaming – You are literally paying $100-$150 for an emulator which you can download for FREE. No graphic improvements just re-releasing a console that was released over two decades ago. The epitome of scam, beware parents who are unfamiliar with gaming consoles, your child will not enjoy this in any manner neither will children who grew up with atari as there are limited amount of games.

Shockingly rubbish – Receiving this as a rather expensive Christmas Gift, I must say, I was pretty excited about the idea of reliving some of the really cool computer games of yesteryear. The excitement however was short-lived. Upon opening the box, I was first struck by the poor quality of the Console and Controllers, all of which felt like a Chinese made toy you would purchase from one of those $2 Market stalls.

Connect to the TV I was devastated that there is no HDMI output, just a hardwired, old fashioned RCA style analogue connections. Due to this limitation the Console would not integrate neatly into my Audio / Video system instead forcing the painstaking exercise of locating the analogue connections at the back of my wall mounted TV. and battling to connect it.

But the real disappointment came when I switched it on. The picture quality of the game selection screen was not just poor, but was what can only be described as a fuzzy mess on the screen. After following the instructions in the manual, the picture was not improved at all, so I pressed ahead to try and play some games.

Every game I tried to play with only one exception was unplayable and not at all how I remember these games. It is almost as if the games in this console are Beta's of the originals or have been copied by a 10 year old programmer. Games like Astroids are a bitter disappointment and nothing like the original games we played as kids. The Infrared Controllers are slow and if not pointed straight at the console, will not work at all. I doubt they would last long either.

The only game that is at all playable and like the original is Space Invaders. Even the picture quality is good for Space Invaders, unlike the other games on this console.

For the price of $149.00 only one working game is ridiculous, especially when one considers the plethora of Smart Phone Applications on the market that offer free versions of Space Invaders.

I have repackaged my console and it is going back to the shop for a refund. I would rather $149.00's worth of Brussel Sprouts than this Gaming Console.

As mentioned earlier, this product belongs on a dodgy two buck market stall with al the other Chinese rubbish I would associate it with.
