I got my Audeara A-02 headphones TV bundle from Amplifon Southport on 31/08/22. They broke and were sent for repair on 22/08/23. They broke again and were sent for repair on 15/05/25 and a month later, 16/06/25, I was told by Amplifon that Audeara said I would have to pay $95 for the repair because they were out of warranty. I contacted Audeara and explained that Under the Australian Consumer Law Guarantee these headphones are not fit for purpose, free from defects or of acceptable quality. I requested that they be replaced (not repaired again, as they would likely just break again).

Audeara replied: “Following assessment by our Technical Team, the current issue is considered repairable, and we have offered a paid service to address this. Under the Australian Consumer Law, a replacement is generally provided where a product experiences a major failure. Based on our assessment, this issue does not meet that threshold, as the product has provided a reasonable period of use since purchase and the prior repair, and remains repairable”. I am shocked that Audeara believe that headphones that break twice in less than 3 years, (and are only 10 months past the warranty period) is "a reasonable period of use since purchase and the prior repair".

It seems obvious to me that these headphones are of poor quality and Audeara’s customer service is also very poor.

Disappointment removed with thanks – Yesterday I wrote a review on Product Review critical of the complex instructions provided by Audeara for non-digital age persons which required much better clarity. As a result I was without hearing assistance for 3 weeks however with help from two young ladies (Kaila - audiologist and Rachel - installation specialist and Face Time) my problem was resolved to my great satisfaction. Within about 45 minutes these ladies worked through the installation together patiently and outside working hours at no cost to me. As a gentleman said in his review "fabulous outcome using the headphones to hear the TV once set up". He also said that instructions should be written on the assumption that the user knows nothing. Thank you to my willing helpers.
