stunning Ladies car – Brilliant car, versatile and has been a pleasure to own, shall miss it when taking it back to finance Extremely economical, and proved ideal for the Cairns to Sydney trip and back again (5times in all). Seat versatility and roof convertible, allows a lot of things to be packed in the car. My service dog also loves the convenience of roofless… Read more

Only real disappointment was that my sons Skoda has more features for half the price, and not made aware of optional keyless ignition nor of inability to use voice control on the steering wheel.

Fantastic little zippy, fun and stylish car but with major engine fault – My car is a 2010 Audi A3 8P S-line 6 speed manual. Pros: - Very stylish and good quality finish. As you enter the car, it feels like 2x more than what it's actually worth. The doors are notchy and very solid feel. - Choice of 6 speed manual transmission. This is a must for me because it helps me feel in control of the safe (hence more safe) and… Read more

could easily get much better fuel economy via engine braking. I average 7-8L/100km - Small yet big. Sportback shape with 4 doors and still decent room in the boot. I've seen crossover SUVs with smaller boot space! - lots of handy features in a budget car. Auto headlights, auto wipers, cruise control, steering controls, Sat Nav, S-line printed leather seats, black roof lining feeling premium - Rear tail lights (LED) and front fog lights turn on in evenings and mornings.

Cons: - needing to top up a a few cups of oil every 1000km (this is the biggest downfall. Audi Service centre says it's normal but when you mention that other cars don't even burn a fraction of this and you know what response I got? 'Are we comparing apples and oranges?'. Update: This has now led to an engine rebuild needing piston replacement costing $10k+ - maintenance at Audi service centre a little on the pricey side. I pay $500 for standard oil change (with me supplying oil) - The S-line seats are nice but they're a little narrow. Opt for the base trim flat seats as they're more comfy albeit less appealing. I'm average sized guy 173cm 73kg. the seating position isn't as comfy as a Toyota camry or Nissan Maxima. - Most don't come with rear seat arm rest

Wonderful performance, outstanding in safety, perfect blend of luxury, comfort and safety – Purchased an Audi A3 a month ago after selling our older Audi A4. Audi has come along way and the A3 is a match for the A4. Wonderful comforts as we have the comfort pack and it is a pure delight. Once reaching our destination it is super hard to get out off as so comfortable. Extremely fuel efficient as our old Audi A4 was $90 to fill and this… Read more

Audi A3 is $55 to fill, so a wonderful surprise. Excellent that is turns off when stationary saving fuel. The best thing is the safety and this has been put to the test over the weekend. We were briefly parked when someone threw a huge water bomb onto the car, that sounded like a bomb going off and the car was rocked. On inspection we were shocked at how difficult it is to see the damage. There is a fair bit of damage on the bonnet however you have to be aware it is there and look for it. Such a strong safe car and this alone has made us extremely happy in purchasing the Audi A3. Bottom line, love driving the A3 and enjoy all the little surprises it has to offer. Nothing has been spared in making this car an absolute pleasure to drive and own.

Great Car!!! But too loud – My RS3 hatchback is awesome - very comfortable seats, great sounding Bang & Olufsen sound system, and of course it's a very very fast car, so much so that it really does help you to loose your drivers licence. Otherwise, the only downer is the gearbox, my one is automatic, and it could be smoother as you can really feel the gear shifts as in… Read more

comparison to Porsche for example.

Recently I went camping and took it on a gravel road, a good road overall, and one of the low profile tires on the front wheel got shredded into pieces, so much so it even damaged some of the front bumper adjacent to the wheel. I waited 3 hours for their roadside assistance to taw the car away, and another 4 hours for the taxi that they've organised for free to go back to Sydney. Note, that there is no spare wheel, and it took them over a weak to fix the car. Not a good experience overall, and I would definitely look at getting a car with a spare wheel next time.

Last but not least, to me personally this car is pretty loud. I always drive it in Dynamic as otherwise there is too much turbo leg, and the noise that it produces when you push it is quiet out there, but I guess that's what to expect from RS range, so some people suggested I should have gone for S range instead.

Overall it's a great toy, but it should certainly come with a warning ))

Best small car I've ever driven! – I was hesitant to go to a smaller vehicle, but A3 2019 hatch doesn't feel like a small car at all. It drives really well and easy to handle! I drive close to 100km a day for work on most days, and it definitely helps driving a car that feels comfortable and enjoyable. So far, no red flags from the servicing either. Technology great, shame about mechanical failures – Only four years older. Full Audi Service history and yet $5000 clutch repair not honoured by Audi. Lot of dash error messages nobody can pin point. Lovely little car to drive just a shakes Audi don’t stand behind their name like Toyota would. Show details

Oil consumption huge problem with Audi A3 convertible TFSI model – Similar to the problem stated in a earlier post I am facing oil consumption problem with the Audi A3 model I bought very recently. Can’t drive more than 400 km before need to replace oil. It is a known problem in many countries. I trusted the brand of course a big mistake. Audi Australia not accepting these issue as true. My advice stay away from at least these models having problems. Show details

Great car, amazing drive, will never go back – Bought a new A3 Sline in October 2020, easy process and Audi dealer was no hassle. Only annoying thing was the extras lady offering the ridiculous Schmick paint protection package, which actually doesn't cover a lot of things! But this has always been the norm for dealers in my experience. Sales guy sold us the car and told us it had features such… Read more

as park assist, which it turned out our car does not actually have..... so this was a massive disappointment. Very good warranty 5 years! plus paid 5 years service package for piece of mind. Car gets used daily for commuting and for the occasional trip, has a good bit off power to it too! No issues with it so far, only annoying thing is the A3 is the only car in the entire Audi range which does not link up to the My Audi app!! So I have been unable to access any features all other Audi cars have, and have no service record as this is all kept in the My Audi app, of which the A3's have no access too??? Its had one service at Audi, which appears to just be an oil change, the car came back dirty and with windscreen wipers that left smears on the screen, so had to go buy new wiper blades and fill the washer fluid. Ive never been returned a dirty car from service before. Great car cant fault it, just don't take it to Audi for servicing.

Immediately after their 3 months warranty had to have wires replaced at Audi Burwood - cost $700 Now at 59,000kms I had to replace the transmission at a cost of $3,500 (not done by Audi as they want $5,000+), new brakes as they cannot be machined and now a problem… Read more

LEMON – I bought an Audi A3 last year. Since I bought it, I had to change the clutch, radiator, breaks and the battery. Complete lemon. Consider if you want to buy a good European car and bad European car. And be careful when dealing with the VW group. Dodgy company. Awesome Audi S3 – Purchased used - 3 years old with 16K on the clock. Have owned performance vehicles for a long time. This time it came down to an Evo X and the S3 sedan. Couldn't go past the DSG transmission. The vehicle looks pretty tame on the outside, but it's what's under the hood that counts. Performance to boot. Modifications are relatively cheap (dollar… Read more

Otherwise so far so good. Happy with the purchase.

A sound car to own and enjoy – Audi A3 just doesn't fail to amaze me, has had this for 3 years and has ever had any issues with it. Handling's good and is powerful for range. The only think I can think of is there's a very little turbo lag when starting from 0, can be slightly unresponsive Also, the back seat can be tight when 2 adults trying to sit at the back. Other than that, it's a highly recommended car.  Show details

Amazing value! – Jampacked with features and fantastic on fuel. Not really much else to say except that I'd recommend this car to anyone! If you're thinking of buying one go see Trivett Audi in Parramatta! Wouldn't of even considered an Audi if it wasn't for the whole team there, lovely people not push or hard to try and get your $$. What a machine – Was tossing up between the a3 and the gti for a while but once I test drive the Audi the choice was easy. Sure performance is very similar but driving the car is like owning a batmobile in comparison to the golf. Only issue I've had is the rear suspension being a little on the squeaky side at low speeds and the 3 nut covers on the wheels have fallen off! Bit disappointing but I'm sure they'll replace them at service.  Show details

Stylish, elegant and fun – performance is not bad, little engine but beats most of the entry Japanese cars lines.
