Focus Design Flaw – At first I was very pleased with these binoculars, but I was let down on a once in a lifetime bird watching trip to to western NSW after heavy rains. company gave me a refund, no problems. As they did not want the broken pairs returned I dismantled them to determine the cause of the problem. The brass screws that pull the elements back and forth to adjust the focus, pass though a plastic finger on that element that is barley larger than the screw. So the thread strips or the finger breaks open causing a failure to be able to pull focus. Such a small design flaw, but it makes these binoculars unreliable.
Too difficult to adjust – I bought these with a confidence I no longer feel. They are so difficult to adjust and the diopter wheel is almost impossible to move. My sons have a lot of experience with binoculars and they got frustrated trying to get them right and put them aside. Not happy. Not impressed. Everything passes by while I'm fiddling with binoculars.
Excellent binoculars for birdwatching – I've recently purchase this set of binoculars for our road trip. They are so compact, lightweight and perfect for hiking. The quality of this set is excellent for birdwatching in the range of 1/2 km to 2km. Highly recommended for bird-lovers and hikers-wanna-be like us.
