Worst Stove top kettle I have ever purchased – Not good quality only 6 Months old and already rusted and leaking . I will never buy this brand again or recommend it

Purchased in at Spotlight for $50.

Bucket of rust – Just covered in rust inside. This is not "stainless steel" as claimed. A total waste of money.

Purchased in at eBay for $50.

I didn't expect it to rust – I purchased this kettle in Nov 2021 to use on our new induction stove. It looks great, feels nice and solid, heats up water quickly and quietly (well until it starts to whistle of course). But unfortunately after only 3 months use it has started rusting, under the lid on the rim and also on the edge of the pouring spout. So I'm rather disappointed considering it cost around $50 on sale. The quality seemed really nice and the body is fine (not rusting) just the contact points mentioned.

I will be looking for a different replacement, maybe from the camping store this time or buy a suitable little saucepan to use instead.

Purchased in at RetraVision.

Great kettle – EDIT/WARNING: the review that follows below was for a discontinued product (Avanti Varese), which was great and is still in perfect condition after 5 years. It does not apply to the new version which is now pictured in this review (as of 2023) and which has significantly changed - apparently not for the best. We have had this kettle for 2 months and don't regret our purchase. The whistle is strong and reliable and it's great to be able to open the spout with one hand. The construction is very solid with an additional baseplate containing an iron core for induction stoves (compared to the way the bottom of other kettles is assembled this seems to be much better engineered).

At this price it's a really good option if you want a kettle that can boil water on any stove!
