Best Back-Up System – I was surprised to find the other negative review. I use Backblaze because as a researcher I have learned the value of always having multiple back-ups. I use up a lot of storage from videos, photos, massive documents, programs and more. I love how backblaze just automatically updates everything from my computer and I never have to worry about running out of space. A couple of times I have lost a document and have been able to retrieve it online just like you would through dropbox or Onedrive. I also do backups on a hard-drive, but that requires me to consider space and I don't typically have those automatically backup. I use Dropbox for business purposes and OneDrive for personal documents as well, but for an entire computer backup I use backblaze. Honestly, if you are only backing up in one place, your data is not backed up. I would rather pay $100/yr or more to make sure I don't lose anything than go through the stress of losing all of my data. I have not had any issues with always needing to be online, but that is likely because my computer is connected directly to the internet. I would suggest interested people try it out at least and see if the interface suits them. Here is my referral link to get a free month: https://secure.backblaze.com/r/020tl4. I hope this helps! I have tested about 5 different programs for computer back-ups and Backblaze is by far my favourite.

Unlimited is not Unlimited – Unlimited Online Back-Up for your PC, Apple and such including external Hard Drives! Cloud storage that's astonishingly easy and low-cost. 800 Petabytes stored & over 45 billion files recovered (and counting). $60/year/Computer. "Never Lose a File Again with the World's Easiest Cloud Backup Backblaze Unlimited Backup" EXCEPT IT IS ONLY FOR 30 DAYS! If for any reason you go offline, the back-up is deleted after 30days!

- If you go on holiday for more than 30days and do not leave your PC on, you lose your back-up. - Ransomware locks your PC and you do not get online for 30 days, you lose it. - Your hard-drive crashes and you do not replace it and have it online in 30 days, you lose your back-up. - Your Internet connection goes off because of a service fault, modem problem, cable, etc. and you do not reconnect, you lose it. Anything happens and the drive or computer is offline for 30 days, YOU lose all you BACKUP.

Aside from this MISLEADING HEADLINE of UNLIMITED without the byline FOR 30 DAYS, the facility is all that it says it is. The back-up app is great, there are no limitations on what you back up, AS LONG AS IT IS CONNECTED ALL THE TIME and then there is an option to pay additionally if you wish your back-up kept for up to a year, $2/m. If you wish it kept forever, another $2/m extra plus $5/TB/month.

If you do the maths though, it is cheaper to buy a good quality hard drive. $100 for 4TB with no ongoing cost eliminates the $48/y monthly cost and costs you only $25/TB, once, not yearly. So, even in the first year of using a Harddrive, you will be cheaper off using your own HArddrive and no need for ongoing payments and no need for a constant internet connection.

If you want to just back up you live PC where the files are constantly changing, this is a good option, although as an Office 365 user, I use the 1/TB Cloud Storage office provides. This is also about $99/y but includes all Microsoft Office Products; Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, and more, included in the price. It can even be extended to 5TB if you have family members.

In my opinion, unless you are constantly online, which most people are, and have large amount of constantly changing files, do not use BackBlaze. As an MS user, use the free OneDrive that comes with Office 365. WAY BETTER VALUE!
