Bansho

I have often passed this Japanese restaurant, set a little back from the street, sadly, without noticing it. The reviews looked excellent. It was a bit unexpected. We had a quiet alcove table. The dishes are modern, with unusual combinations of ingredients making it impossible to draw direct comparisons to competitors. That said, the food was delicate, the crab claw notable, tasty and interesting. For main courses we had duck and herb crusted lamb, both are recommended. It is expensive. I'd call it a foodie restaurant.
