Barney Blanket

Exceptionally soft – As with the Barney Bed, my partner gets all of the credit for this purchase. I'll admit that I am consistently amazed with the needs of our dogs and the things that they need to survive inside our house. The Barney Blanket is actually a very nice blanket and the dogs seem to love it. We have 2 French Bulldogs and while one of them is somewhat indifferent to the blanket, the other one absolutely loves it and sets about making his bed every night. There is a great deal of picking up, pawing, wrestling and rolling that goes into this bed making strategy but it seems very important to him and he doesn't do it with other blankets.

The blanket is extremely soft and I have been half tempted to steal it for myself if it were just a bit bigger. It also has a nice weight to it and on cold nights the dogs seem quite happy to have it draped over them.

When it arrived my first impression was that it was a bit too fancy and would just be destroyed within a week but to my pleasant surprise, the blanket is now getting on to about 6 months of consistent use and still looks as good as the day it arrived. It washes very easily in the washing machine on standard settings with regular detergent and comes up good as new each time.

The worst thing that I can say about this is that it can generate some static electricity which can give the dogs a bit of a zap when pulling it off them if things are too dry in the house. Doesn't seem to affect them much.
