ALDI Bauhn FPA 38558 Flat Panel Antenna

You will not be disappointed – I live on a river. I have big Tv aerials on my roof for the tv in my lounge room but it will not pic up the abc and a number of other channel. I put this Bauhn aerial in both back bedroom tvs and l get every Chanel possible to me. [Word Removed] all over any other serial lve had before.

Flat panel antenna - Working very well - may be if you are at the right place – I bought a Bauhn Flat Panel Antenna from Aldi in ~2014 to replace my home-made digital indoor antenna in living room. This crude home-made unit has been perfect for few years but "does not look nice" (costing ~$4.70 for the balun+1/2 hr labour_some timber and wires). At first the Bauhn unit did not get all the channels (compared to home-made antenna which got all available channels) but then I found out that the location of antenna on the wall is so important). It has been working fine since I got the sweet spot for it.

Just bought 2nd unit today ~$25 (March 2015) for bedroom TV (yes, to replace the home-made antenna rolled over from living room) - obviously I have already tested the bed room TV with the 2014 flat antenna to make sure. (the home-mad unit is now kept as spare with a sentimental value)

Note that it may not work 100% if you are not in the right location for reception. May need to re-scan for channels.

Pros:

(i) Look nice and neat

(ii) "Feeling safe" during lightning storms (compared to exposed external antenna).

Cons:

(i) Need to be plugged in power point to operate

(ii) Only available color is black (nice to have white/cream avail) to blend in light colored walls (well, repainting is not an option :-) )

Works Great – We purchased one of these 2 years ago and worked great, decided to get another one recently for another room. We have it sitting on the window frame, where it picks up all the channels. We live in the Manning area as it may not work in all regions. I have tried a lot of antennas from various TV shops and at triple the price and had to return them as they did not work. This one just needed to be plugged into the TV and power outlet, then tuned. There was no fiddling with rabbit ears or knobs to turn worked straight away. Would recommend to anyone.
