Received the splitter 12ton...worse mistake I ever made. Parts were missing, instructions tor assembly were hopeless. Then when I finally got going, leaked like a sieve. The firm basically told me I was on my own.... stear clear
Purchased for $850.
I bought this with a friend on his card and paid him for it His name is Peter Ricardo. You should have correspondence for the complaint Anyway, I donated it to the local Mens shed as I had enough
HPS2600E Review – I have owned this for 2/3 years and have had to start tightening bolts and screws. Over all i am quite happy with the overall ese of operating. Splitting red gum easily on the larger pieces i need to start on an outer edge and work in wards. But good. Need to get minor oil leak fixed.
Purchased in .

Not bad for splitting small soft kindling down but not good on large or hard timber – Had the "pleasure" of using one of these last month and whilst I can say it wasn't bad for splitting small'ish timber into even smaller pieces, as far as splitting anything of decent size or denseness, it failed dismissally. I put a number of different pieces of Aussie Ironbark in it and the thing just struggled ... all it did was leave multiple dents in the end of the timber. One of 6 pieces did but that was due to checking already in end grain of the timber. It was trying really hard, bless its cotton socks, but it just couldn't split it. You could the motor really bow down and drop considerably in revs. I don't know about the 8 tonne rating when it's just a simple bottle jack design laying horizontally. I wouldn't waste my money on one unless you're planning on splitting very small stuff ( which can be done manually anyway with an axe or splitter ) or larger softwood timbers like pine.
Considering my brother spent nearly $800 on it, I think he could've spent his hard earned cash a little better. I would honestly give it a star rating of between 2 & 4 ... 2 star for how it failed and maybe a 4 star if I was only splitting small or soft timber.
