Shaun Tierny and his team have changed my life in the most amazing manner. Because of his dedication: intuition: & ability to put himself in the place of one of his clients, my hearing is now being addressed in a manner that is restoring my neural pathways. down the connections in my brain. And no one explained this to me. Until I met with Sean and he explained what was happening and how these new hearing aids would be able to rebuild these pathways, I was doing serious damage to my physical state of being. It had got to the stage of my having vertigo attacks and very disturbing effects on my eyesight.
It is now 11 weeks down the track and I am already feeling and HEAR- ing improvements - with: AND without the hearing aids - and at 83 years of age - this is very exciting.
After hours of research into this subject I have full confidence that within the 12 months of repatterining of my brain, my hearing may even be better than before: because the natural hearing is also improving.
Thank you Sean and your team: Donna and Jade: at Bay Audio Ballina: for your knowledge: experience and attention to detail. You have helped me immensely and given me hope.
Leonie xx
I was stopped by a wonderful assistant asking if I was experiencing hearing issues, I did the exam and the experience in store was wonderful. I did not purchase the hearing aid, as it was very expensive. Since then I have had constant phone calls (twice this week, usually weekly though). Wonderful experience – My wife had a wonderful experience with Bay Audio, all staff were polite and acted as if she mattered. They even shopped around until they found a device that was free. She couldn’t have been happier, thank you all. Show reply
Free? Beware! – A young man stands at the door and invites passers for a “free hearing test “. After the test he points to a list of “cards” and asks which one you have. As i am self funded I dont have any government card. He asked me three times. So “free” was to the cost of any government card to subsidise. I find this fraudulent.

Please take my warning seriously – My initial examination/test showed that ‘SIGNIFICANT HEARING LOSS DETECTED’. (naturally, I'm 65 years old) Further diagnostic checks are required, so I needed to see a hearing specialist. At my appointment I was asked what I would miss, if I couldn't hear anything. (music, was my answer) They use your answers to pressure you to buy a set from… Read more
them. I was allowed to try them, only in a noisy shopping centre and only on the day of my appointment. So I have no idea, how they work in other conditions. My price, was a hugely inflated $12,489 per set. The cheapest option was $4,489 a set. You will be provided with a “written quote” of the cost, as well as any ongoing costs that may be applicable. The financial options were clearly explained (of course). Also, because I love music, why wouldn't I want to buy my hearing aid from them? However, • The brand of the hearing aid was not given, just the price. • The best recommended hearing aid, was coincidently the most expensive. The most time was spent extolling the virtues of this option. • The lower priced options, were not offered to try in the clinic, or outside for a few minutes. •Equivalent hearing aid retail prices seem to be at least a quarter of the price of any at Bay Audio. I suggest you to: • Check out choice before you buy any medical aids. •Thoroughly research, before your free hearing test appointment. Most people do not and find themselves signed up to pay $95 a week for over priced equipment. I have been contacted regularly, in order to pressure me to buy. I've ended up blocking at least 6 phone numbers. Today, I blocked another one. I doubt they'll give up. Store Location: Mt Gravatt Plaza, Mt Gravatt, Brisbane. Date of Specialist Appointment: 20th July, 2021
Do not go to Bay Audio – Rip off, $12489 for Resound Omnia 9 RR price $6700. Hearing Savers price $3980. What a scam. Do your research before buying.
SHOP AROUND - I DIDN'T – I brought a hearing aid off this company about two years ago, I wanted a good one ($10,000) and they offered that I could pay it off. They did not tell me there would be a fee of $30 each month. $360 for one year. The hearing test in Store is just inside and very noisy, not a great place for a test. The consultants change quiet often, so you don't… Read more
have a regular person. There is a heap of other Stores to check their prices. For servicing they get a change of Professional staff regular. You finally get a good one and next minute they are gone. They don't stay long, what does that tell you? The last professional there left and I had had enough. I finally went to Rowville another Company and was treated special, they have my business in future. Young staff at Bay Audio have no idea what domes or filters you need and you never get the right ones given to you
They have young girls working there and when you call in for filters, nine times out of ten you get the wrong ones. Not good enough Bay Audio

After a very poor experience getting a pair of Govt funded hearing aids from the Booval store, I found one of the hearing aids to be faulty after 2 days. I took them back expecting a replacement as I was lead to believe. Instead I was told a lot of nonsense about Govt regulations saying the faulty one had to go back to the manufacturer. I left it… Read more
there, waited a week and heard nothing from them so I rang and was told it had not been sent yet. Once again I asked for a replacement but this time I was told another story about company policy and that I would have to wait. I wasn't happy with the service or the product so I requested the 90 day return policy be used and the money refunded to the Govt department that paid for them. They said I would have to have an appointment with the clinician before that could be done but there were no appointments for 10 days. This meant 3 weeks without hearing aids. Not good enough so I returned the other hearing aid and asked for a receipt to say they had been returned and was refused. Meanwhile one of the staff was standing out front of the shop trying to drag people in off the street for hearing tests. Very unprofessional. I just left it on the counter and left. There are no excuses for this complete lack of service, no regard for duty of care or lack of business ethics. I have lodged a complaint with the Dept who funded them so I can get a working pair of hearings from a company with more ethics and customer care. R Creighton-Hurst.

A very helpful and positive experience! – I recently visited Nepean Square Bay Audio as I was aware of a hearing loss in both ears that has slowly progressed over the last 4 years. It is not limiting yet, but I wanted to know what my options were now, or in the future. Maybe my positive experience was directly influenced by my choice to approach them. Jasmine, I made an appointment with the audio specialist, Sarah, for a more thorough testing. I had read all the negative reviews on pushy sales employees, so stated up front that I have limited funds and would like an honest assessment to suit my needs. Sarah was absolutely lovely. She understood and respected my request and helped set me up with trialing one of the products for and hour shopping in Kmart. I liked them enough to get fitted for a less expensive set, to see if they would work for me, or make a difference. I then took them home for a week and they were a great product, and I really appreciated being able to have a no-obligation trial. That gave me a true idea if I really needed them yet and how easy they were to use with their app on my phone. I decided they were not for me yet, but because of the friendly, helpful, professional service by the staff members Sarah, Jasmine and Stephanie, I will come back to that shop to purchase them when I am ready. They are dearer than some other providers, but it is a quality product, they have knowledgeable staff and include after care for up to 5 years after purchase. That's servicing, batteries, if needed and repairs, if any. Plus, they were very gracious when I came back and said I won't be buying them yet! For all those reasons they deserve 5 stars!
Hear, hear, hear! – "All Clear" Found this shop for me in Grove Square (formerly 'Stocland Mall') They seem to do this all over Australia. it would turn out. I have been with a provider that I mostly liked for nearly 5 years. But I was very impressed with the attention I got on that visit. I won't quote any name and there would not be many to name anyway. But what I'll say they were very friendly, professonal and helpful regarding my 'hearing' future. I'm also surprised that there are so many negative and derogative review about this company on Product Review. I wish there was a way to balance reviews a little better. I understan Bay Audio is covering a lot of practices I had never heard of take notice of this company, So dismissing the company because someone had a bad experience in one of them is not very indicative of the company in the whole. A while back I looked at teeth 'irrigation' gadget products having bought one well over priced and with wild claimed to be better than any competition. Product Review had none for it. And site showing the best 10 such product did not even mention them! So this makes very difficult to get an informed knowledge of what is what.

Keep Rhys! – Whoever owns this business needs to ensure they hold onto Rhys. Having been in the hospitality sector for years, I would have given anything to secure someone like Rhys for front of house. He is welcoming, listens well and is responsive to customers. A naturally kind person and quick to provide information, or support as required, this man is pure gold. I am currently trialling my aids so maybe more on those later. Show details · 1
BAY AUDIO, RIVERLINK, IPSWICH, ARE A STAND-OUT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH – My first visit to Bay Audio, Riverlink, Ipswich, would have to be the best public relations experience I have had for a long time. it’s $80 if you see them - I think that’s deceiving. Pushy staff trying to rope people in – So sick and tired of being harassed by Bay Audio salespeople every time I walk past a store with my parents, their hearing is perfectly fine, and they don't need to be reminded by your pushy staff to have their hearing checked. feel pretty upset. If this is the only way you can get customers in to flog your overpriced product you must be desperate. No other store peddles their product at their main entrance.
Outside the shop, not wanting to be spruked. Several locations – I have never been in the store and while ever they have people outside asking you about your hearing, I never will. It is your choice to do something if you think you need it. It shouldn't be somebody's job to stand outside and try to pull inside. The people outside must be desperate for a job and their boss (That is you) shouldn't have a one. Every time I walk past the store there is somebody trying to pull me in and i am sick of it. that someone did because it showed up on my phone. I also told her that I wasn't interested in being stitched up 1000's of dollars for something I do not need. friendly but noticed I’m due for new subsidy in December and started the pressure for a new sale by giving me a pamphlet for a particular brand, made an appointment, I tried to change it but I felt pressured for another appointment almost straight away! It’s only May, it doesn’t take 7months to organise a new hearing aid … this is the first and last “red flag” I’ll get from them. I’ll go somewhere else better reputable in another few months time to get another hearing test. I am on a full pension, this should be their first consideration, not fishing for any further funding opportunities through pressure sales.
Professionalism at its best in audiology diagnosis – Ryanne Abdallah (audiologist) was so professional, knowledgeable, empathetic explaining my diagnosis thoroughly and in layman's terms, so I understood.
