Agree with all other posters. Impossible to clean, they appear to be permanently stained. So embarrassed to have people to our house. One of the most frustrating things is these aren't the tiles we originally chose but our preferred floor tile was discontinued and this was the offered alternative recommended by Beaumont's sales person. Show details

I wish these reviews had existed before we decided to tile a number of our indoor areas with Micro tech tiles about 18 months ago. Having young kids, we were drawn to the non-slip qualities and were well aware that they might take a little more upkeep than traditional tiles. They look great when first installed. These however are near impossible… Read more

to keep clean even with regular mopping, and it is particularly bad with light colored tiles. Luckily we went for a darker colour in wet areas so the dirt is not as obvious. The dirt gets very stuck to the tile due to the texture, and the cleaning agents posted on other reviews do not help this. The only way we have found to clean them is to manually get down on hands and knees and scrub with a lot of effort with a textured cloth/sponge. See the attached photo for how filthy they get. Wiping does not get the dirt off (ie Mop) neither do bristled brushes. Have tried multiple cleaning products and mops. The most effective has been a steam mop with rotating pads, but even this only helps to a certain degree.

Unless you plan on cleaning these tiles every time you walk on them, avoid and look to other options. The link to the microtech documentation and cleaning products will no doubt be posted below this review as per others. They do not work even if closely followed - for us anyhow.

We are now left with the decision to put up with them or rip them up and put something else down at significant cost - noting the cost to install these not that long ago. They are not fit-for-purpose for indoor areas. We don't have them outdoors so can't comment on this. At least outdoors you could take a high pressure sprayer to them (but I bet that would go against recommendations).

Awful tile. Impossible to keep clean and gets filthy so easily. Had a professional to clean them and he said within a week they'll be filthy again because of the product itself. Avoid like the plague

Have previously written a review on Microtec tiles which I gave 1 star because they are IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. My whole lower part of the house has this tile and has caused me nothing but frustration. The tile is now nearly 2 years old and is so stained with ground in dirt. I notice it when I scrub a small section of it and it becomes its… Read more

original colour. Have rung Beaumont's in the past and even emailed the Chinese company I was given the address of. No answers. The lady at Beaumont's even said "Oh we have never had any complaints about the tile". Eventually i went into a Beaumont's store and a lovely young lady asked if the tiles were cleaned with a Beaumont product after they were laid. I said I didn't know as we had a builder. Anyway we bought their product. I went home and cleaned my kitchen with it. We couldn't believe the change. The look like new. I then emailed our builder and they have offered to come and do our floors for us. The rest of the house will be done in about 3 weeks and we shall see how the tiles go after that. Will keep you all informed. Attached a before and after cleaning shot.

I have found the tiles to be of extremely poor quality, as they become dirty very quickly, a sentiment echoed by many others. Despite reaching out to the head office and attempting every recommended product, their response was merely a list of items available for purchase from their store—items I had already mentioned in my initial email as… Read more

ineffective. These tiles have been a constant source of frustration. Additionally, my experiences at the store have been disappointing; despite visiting multiple times, the staff failed to inform me of potential issues. I deeply regret not reading the reviews before making my decision. I would strongly advise against dealing with Beaumont, and caution others to avoid them. Furthermore, it is concerning that they do not allow product reviews by customers on their website. This raises serious questions about their transparency and customer service practices.

I just came across this Microtec specific page so I thought I’d copy and paste my review from Beaumont tiles page so hopefully no one else destroyed their house with these awful tiles. Microtec tiles – I wish there had been the reviews on Microtec tiles when I purchased them. I bought Microtec because they are non slip and I have a child with a… Read more

disability who was constantly slipping over on our previous tiles. The Microtec tiles looked absolutely beautiful after installation and are indeed non slip. They are also impossible to keep clean. Dirt just sticks to them and they end up looking a disgusting brown. I vacuum twice a day, followed all instructions re cleaners - lithofin cement residue remover after installation, lithofin intensive cleaner when the tiles are very dirty and lithofin vitraclean twice a week. They are still gross. I even bought a commercial tile scrubber to get them clean….. didn’t work. These tiles are just not suitable for use anywhere. They. Do. Not. Clean. They look beautiful on the showroom wall, but you will regret it if you buy them for your house.

Worst tiles on planet earth – Tiled my bathroom, laundry and toilet in these. The dirt stains were so bad I had to use polyurethane sealer to seal the tile as we had no choice. Now 3 years later the sealer is peeling. I have to remove all tiles and retile. If anyone's interested maybe we can log a group action towards Beaumonts. I literally have to rip my entire bathroom out… Read more

and redo. I made multiple complaints to Beaumonts and warned them to remove those tiles from sale. Out of many tiles to chose from we had to pick literally the worst tile that exists on planet earth. Beaumonts don't even bother replying to this post, you've cost customers thousands if not 10s of thousands of dollars by selling an inferior product, and mind you they aren't cheap. Anyone who laid these tiles I recommend you rip them up and relay tiles. Elegant Tiles in Thomastown have a way better range than Beaumonts as well, I'll be going there to retile.

Beaumont Microtec tiles – DO NOT BUY! They are so hard to clean and keep clean. I have spoken to Beaumonts about this and even their recommended cleaning procedure & products don’t work! The only way I have found to sort of remove dirty marks is to scrub on my hands and knees with a micro fibre cloth. Not happy as I tiled our entire beach shack with these tiles thinking… Read more

they would be easy to clean & slip resistant at the beach. I was not told at time of purchase the difficulty of cleaning these tiles or told I would need any of the cleaning products I have gone on to purchase trying to clean these tiles. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Difficult to clean – Purchased microtech tile from Beaumont for outdoor area (under cover) near pool- so required non slip however, whilst safe to walk on cleaning is a nightmare. Extremely porous, absorbs dirt/dust and need scrubbing brush and detergent to remove. May need to apply sealer of some kind. I don’t recommend this product. Show details
