I spent over $500 on Bellroy bags, ordered a full week before my August 21 flight, specifically to use them on my trip. The order sat over the weekend, didn't ship until Monday, and the delivery estimate ended up being the afternoon of the 21st — hours after my morning flight left. I spent three days emailing support asking if there was any way… Read more

to help — expedite, upgrade the shipping, intercept the parcel, anything. It took three emails before anyone even replied, and once they did, the answer never changed: nothing can be done once it ships. No options, no urgency, no real attempt at a workaround for a customer asking well before the delivery date.

They did eventually send a prepaid return label, but that doesn't change the outcome: a $500 order going back unopened, and a trip without the bags I bought for it. For a premium brand at these prices, the complete inflexibility is what disappointed me most. If delivery timing matters to you at all, think twice.

Appalling service and policy on returns. It is positively archaic. I was given a Bellroy product as a birthday present. I didn't like the colour and wanted to exchange it for another colour (this would not have cost Bellroy anything). They refused to exchange the bag as it was over 30 days since the purchase. I try to buy Australian but I have… Read more

been burnt by this experience. I will never use the bag and I will never touch another Bellroy product again. Other Australian companies I have purchased from are really flexible, they care about their customers and know the power of word of mouth marketing.

I bought one of their wallets when they first started up - then the zipper packed it in before the rest of the product was really worn out. I bought the exact same product again and the same thing happened. I wrote to them and asked if they had recently changed (or were planning to change) their zipper supplier. I included photos of my two… Read more

identical broken zippers. They came back with a pile of platitudes and lovely but meaningless nonsense...but they never answered the question. I think they have an AI program managing their customer complaints. Anyway - on the strength of the exchange I won't be buying a third wallet from them and I doubt I could actually support them anymore. Maybe if they went the next step and were not only an Australian company but also an Australian manufacturer it could solve both the product quality issue as well as the customer loyalty one.

My Bellroy phone case started shedding skin within 8 weeks of very light duty. The case is unfit for purpose. I will replace it with one from another company. I will never buy another Bellroy product.

Bellroy - Great advertising - really cheaply made products. AVOID – Really cheaply made... incredibly overpriced for what they send you. Could buy the same item from China for literally 20% of the cost. USD$106 for this tiny little pouch... cheap fabric, cheap components.

This is a brand you can actually feel some loyalty towards because the quality of design and manufacturing is consistently good, the website is user-friendly, and the shipping is fast and efficient. I don't even bother shopping around anymore. If I need it, and Bellroy make it, decision made.

Love their stuff – I recently got the Venture Phone Case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. And I love this case. I had a Native Union one which was a good case but creaked. So I ordered the Bellroy case based on the other products of theirs I have. And could not be happier. This case is well made and looks great. and the cutout for the Camera Control Button. I love the attached lanyard also. I am not sure about all the negative reviews. But I have never had an issue with this company or their goods. In fact I will be getting more of their stuff for Christmas this year for myself and family members. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic service and products – I'm very surprised at the negative reviews here. I have purchased 3 different wallets and 2 watch straps and couldn't be happier with the quality and value for money. The last wallet I purchased didn’t close properly after 3 months. I emailed customer service with a photograph, within 2 days I had a response apologising and asking me to confirm… Read more

delivery details. Five days later I received a new wallet in the mail under the replacement guarantee. No quibles, you couldn't ask for better service. I should add that the fault on the wallet was minor, the quality respective was excellent. Definitely 5 star for product, service and communication.

I bought two cases that are supposedly leather. After one week the edges are worn so badly and the case looks daggy. Worst product I have ever purchased and so overpriced! Never again.

I have to say, for a company who claims to be Design oriented, they have no idea what the term 'good design' means. I guess to them it means 'rip-off price with bad quality'. No wonder they have an average of 1.8 Stars. Seriously!

Rip off – So expensive, thought I was buying a quality bag but quality seems similar to Kmart absolutely ripped off. Bag is flimsy and I can see now how other people have claimed they have ripped. Wish I read the reviews first

Bad quality, worst customer support – I feel completely ripped off by Bellroy. I bought one of their bags because I believed their whole “premium quality” image, but it tore after just one overseas trip. This was normal use—nothing extreme—and for a bag at this price point, that’s unacceptable. When I tried to make a warranty claim, they rejected it with a vague excuse that the… Read more

damage wasn’t “normal use.” They didn’t provide any evidence to back that up, and even after pointing out their obligations under Australian Consumer Law, they just ignored it.

Bellroy sells itself as a high-end brand, but they don’t stand by their products or care about their customers. Honestly, they feel like a scam. If you’re after a reliable bag, go with brands like Antler or Samsonite. They’ve been around for years, and you can actually trust their quality. Don’t waste your money on Bellroy’s false promises.

Not what it used to be – Bellroy no longer the company it used to be. Very disappointing customer service. Lengthy and polite, but verbose email filled with infuriating platitudes. still not shipped … Seems particularly poor form for a place that proudly advertises their focus on organisation. Nice product, but there are similar available.

UPDATE - AFTER a lengthy back and forth a new bag was sent that included the strap and we returned the other bag to Bellroy. Would only buy in store in future to avoid this, but pleased it was resolved. Thank you, Bellroy.

Never received refund – I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience. dishonesty I've encountered throughout this process. I was initially assured that my refund was being processed, but when I checked in again, I was told the opposite. I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and the way I’ve been treated as a customer. Stay away unless you want to risk losing your money!

Abysmal customer service – Products aren’t what they used to be, but their customer service takes the cake for most appalling I’ve experienced in quite some time. Indescribably painful platitudes followed by no action. Infuriating. After accepting that the wallet they sold me had defects, their solution was to give me a stingy discount on my next purchase!!!! Apparently… Read more

this is consistent with their company ethos of reducing their carbon footprint!! Gold!! Can’t post me a replacement wallet to replace the defective one because of the impact on the environment. But happy to have me buy more of their products with 10% off and post that out. Perhaps if they had some quality control in the place of manufacture, this might have a greater impact in reducing their carbon footprint. And because of all of this ridiculousness, there’s a great deal of back and forth required to come to a solution. Made worse because it takes them several days to reply to each email, despite claiming to have 24/7 customer service. It’s not really 24/7 if they only respond to emails every 3 days.

In summary, lovely designed, but quality seems to have slipped in recent years (I have several Bellroy products from a few years back). And customer service is an abysmal disgrace. AVOID!!!!

Not made to last, terrible customer service – I was a customer for many years. I had a card pocket where the zip failed after three years. I was upset about this as you would think these were warranted on craftsmanship. Ofcourse, their warranty is only three years, so it looks like that's how they design their products. Still, acknowledging it had lasted three years I went for a slim… Read more

sleeve. I got a wallet that was too thin for my requirements so I asked for an exchange (not a refund).

This was denied on the basis that the time was 31 days instead of 30. Terrible customer service as I only asked for an exchange, not a refund.

Overrated, better quality products for your money elsewhere. Look for lifetime warranties, not three year stitch ups.

Hard to fit in all the things it claims to be fitting – Bellroy Tokyo tote was a disappointment. Fitting in 13inch laptop was tight squeeze and does not leave any room for other items. I challenge you to design a bit better. There is no way it can fit in all the items your product is claiming. Very disappointed. Try making the zip panel wider.

Where has the quality brand gone? – I’ve been an owner of the hide and seek wallet for 10 years, unfortunately I’ve had to replace it a couple of times as I lost it, nothing to do with quality. I replaced it again last last week after 6 years and what was delivered was nothing like the wallet I’ve known. I’m not convinced it’s even leather it’s so thin and feels low quality. The… Read more

Lasted less than 4 weeks – Within a couple of weeks of owning this £40 phone case from brand new, the leather started to ripple slightly. telling me they don't believe this is normal use. I've owned the case for less than 4 weeks. I'll leave you with their own words - hardly the premium leather they tell you on their website:

"The leather we use for our phone cases is also thinner than the other cases which makes them less padded and more fragile. Also, our phone case is not impact-resistant as it is more of a lifestyle case. We cannot guarantee that the phone case will be safe from damage after every drop as it depends on the angle and surface"

Appalling low quality – Appalling low quality. Bought one on their wallet, used it for just a couple of weeks. The "leather" is so thin that it immediately got scratched simply by keeping it in the pocket together with coins or keys. You know, the kind of things you usually have in a pocket.

Terrible Customer Service - Dishonest Accounting – I have purchased a number of items from Bellroy despite reading all the overwhelmingly negative reviews. I like the products. Bellroy iPhone cases fall apart – I purchased the iPhone 13 case phone card holder with the integrated card storage section. leather phone cases). The plastic used is of a poor quality and flakes off. See attached pictures after 1.5 years of normal careful use.

Don't claim a 3 year warranty for workmanship if within the warranty period the workmanship (such as a critical function like storing cards) is not designed to last the 3 years?

Support was no help and claimed that I must have been dropping the case and rubbing it on rough surfaces, which was an un-evidenced claim and was used to exclude me from any further support.

I will not be purchasing from this company again. Don't think that their products are built to last 3 years based on their workmanship warranty.

I you want a case that will last 1.5 years from careful use then go for it.

Thanks.

So-called “Premium” brand – Bought the Hide & Seek “Premium Edition” for 129$ only to last me 1 year ++ due to the edge peeling off. Pathetic customer service and website is out of date by years – I'm looking for a new backpack. Saw advertisements in droves for Bellroy and checked site. Looks good. here. I got onto their website to see stockists. Started calling the listed businesses. The businesses I called all advised 'we haven't held their products for years'. YEARS. And despite repeatedly contacting Bellroy to remove them from their online list of stockists, Bellroy is flatout blatantly refusing to do so. They are ignoring these businesses as well. I now read all these complaints that all seem to have a similar topic....the company is ignoring ppl regardless of the issue. And reading the above there are some very concerning issues with this business. Now reading, besides the absence of and blatantly rude customer service, it appears their products are inferior as well. As much as I love their designs I just cannot bring myself to buy something, especially for such expense, given the sheer number of red flags there are with Bellroy. Beyond disappointing and sad to see this company will dissipate and fold over time with more negative reviews due to those involved having no business background or commonsense and inferior quality. If I could rate 0 for customer service, I would.

expensive wallet lasted just past the warranty expiry, no support as a result – Would not buy from them again, expensive but the quality is not there, neither is the product support. Wallet lasted to just past the warranty expiry, then the zip failed. Support was refused as a result. Their motto is "our wallets feel great in your hand, and age beautifully as the years go by" - NOT TRUE.

Sub-par quality for such a price-tag – I bought a $349 Venture Backpack 22L 3 months ago (now costs $359). Real product's colour is vastly different than image's (looks more greyish in real).
