Birds Eye Deli Hoki Crisp Light Batter

Absolutely awful. Birds eye used to have the best cod fish fingers. So craving them, I bought the Birds Eye Hoki Fish Fingers. Just disgusting, overly processed, half the size of the cod fish fingers and tasted nothing like fish. Straight in the bin, never to be purchased again. Beyond disappointed that Birds Eye now produce this garbage. The photo on the packaging is not a photo of the small thin fish fingers that were inside the box. Purchased online 7 January 2026.

Hit and miss with this – I have purchased the birds eye deli frozen fish on many occasions. In the beginning it was always nice so obviously i kept purchasing. Lately however i find that it is off, always smells terrible, some pieces are ok and others you just can't keep in your mouth, I'm actually afraid of getting food poisoning (we're talking fish here) not only that but both Woolworths and Coles have jacked the price from $7 to $10 taking advantage of Australian consumers (shame shame shame) Soooooo now i don't buy it, it's a hit and miss if your going to get a nice piece but at that price it's actually more expensive than going to Bernies for true fresh fish. Lift your game birds eye and i truly hope the government brings Woolworths and Coles to justice, especially Woolworths (you suck)
Purchased in at Everyday Market from Woolworths for $10.
Minuscule servings – Bought Birds Eye Deli New Zealand Hoki fish fillets in light batter tonight for tea. Five fillets in the box which cost over $7. The fillets were about 1" wide x 5" long - similar to the size of a deli frankfurt. Really bad value for money. Tasted OK just nowhere near enough. Definitely won't bother again; very disappointing.
