Poor suction - don’t waste your time – I have a large corded Bissell and it’s worth its weight in gold. I got this battery powered unit for quickly cleaning small stains as kids and carpeted dining rooms don’t mix. The suction on this thing is terrible. The carpet was left soaking wet and the stain remained. It struggles to pick up a fraction of the water you spray down. Perhaps it’s… Read more
my cheap renters carpet and it may work better on a thicker pile but I returned it for a refund and will purchase a smaller corded unit instead.
Pointless – Has no suction and leaves carpet wet. Better results with carpet spray and sponge Show details
Waste of money – Brush hardly touches carpet for cleaning and the vacuum can't suck a tenth of the water you spray on the carpet. A rag works better to clean up a stain than this appliance. Show details
Very impressive – What a amazing product for removal of my cats mishap on my carpet/mats. Easy to use and easy to clean after use, with a built-in battery and powerful suction to suck up the water and removal of the mishap this very portable product has won me over so awesome. 01 may 2024: Over the year of using the machine I have found if you spray the detergent… Read more
in a spray bottle instead of in with the water you don't need lots of water to do the job If you do use a lot of water it does take a bit to suck it up. Still think it is a awesome machine as I have had a cat being sick around the house everyday, and it has been working like a charm.
Not Quite As Good As Expected – Purchased after having accidentally broken a previous type of Bissell carpet cleaner - totally my fault which I accept. I have cats, that means cleaning up the carpet sometimes. It just never performed very well and never had good suction. Fair enough to a degree as it is wireless, and smaller, as it's designed to be hand-held. Simple enough to… Read more
use, but wasn't as effective at removing stains as the Spotclean series are/were. Also after a relatively short while, something has gone wrong with the power supply and the vacuum/spray only works when the device is held vertically, obviously pointless considering it's mainly used on the floor. I don't know if water has gotten into the guts of it and shorted something out, but it now takes considerable 'percussive maintenance' to get it to work again. It is also a bit hard to clean after use, as you can't effectively scrub at spills or stains without rubbing whatever the mess is all over the bottom of the tank/device. I think overall a potentially poor design but it's been better than paper towels while we waited to repurchase one of the larger Spotclean series ones again (I think it's also worth noting that all of their Spotclean series cleaners are essentially identical except for colour, brush style, and price tag - so just get the cheapest one you can find and they'll do the same job in my experience).
:: How to use the Stain Eraser correctly :: – Reading the problems people are complaining about - it is not the Machine it is the User. I experienced numerous problems too. There are numerous YouTube - how to use the Machine. I had not assembled the Machine correctly. I realised I was the problem. The Sprayer works perfectly & no Leaks. There is a specific way to hold the Machine to suck up… Read more
the liquid (on YouTube). Only USE ‘BISSELL SPOT & CLEAN’ it is a Foam & will not Soak deep into the Carpet - using water soaks into the Carpet backing & underlay & can create a Stain !!!! It is a handy - great little Machine if the User - assembled correctly & knows how to use it correctly !
Great little machine but the sprayer won't work and the handle doesn't feel like it fits together well – Upon second use the sprayer stopped working even after repeated reading of instructions and re-assembling. Otherwise it's great, and I love that it's rechargeable and quite gutsy. I just use a spray bottle to spray the stain, then vacuum it up. The handle moves in the hand as though the parts don't fit together properly which is a concern since I've only used it a couple of times. Show details
This Product has very Poor Suction – I purchased this online as it's a well known brand, and I needed something hand held for upholstery. It's was such a disappointment to find that after wetting down the fabric, this thing did next to nothing when it was supposed to such up the moisture - I had to use towels to dry it off. On calling the customer service centre, I about the issue, I was told to send them a video of the product not working! What! How does one do that?? Show details
* Fixed Leaking & Spray Problem * – I recently purchased the Product - having 2 Dogs & lots of Carpet - thought great Gadget for cleaning small marks/stains off carpet. I noticed numerous people complained the Product is Leaking. I charged Battery & poured cleaning liquid into container - turned on & pressed underside of handle to release the liquid Spray. It didn’t spray it… Read more
dribbled….. I removed liquid container & the front clear plastic with ‘how to use sticker’ - put both parts back & it works perfectly. My thoughts people are not seating the clear Plastic Front Cover & the Liquid Cleaner Container correctly. I have a number of Bissell Products they have always worked perfectly.
Good for pet vomit stains on carpet – Very easy to use. Light unit. Doesn't leave excessive water on carpet, which is good. It removed the cat vomit stain from my beige carpet extremely well. However, I tried it on various other stains on my carpet - but only removed about 20% of the stain in each instance. The brush on the underside of the unit can be quite abrasive on the carpet fibres. So, good for cat vomit stains, but that's about it. Show details
Not to bad – Used on carpet, couch and car seats. Battery life is good. Would recommend for those who has a smaller couch and has no kids just use every now and then. Does a good job, but not idea for house of kids. Needing something bigger and stronger. Show details
18 month old puppy and only one stain left! – My puppy was finally getting the hang of toilet training when I decided to buy this stain eraser to remove old stains and odours in my light brown carpet. I figured I'd get the carpet professionally cleaned when I was more confident that there wouldn't be any more accidents, and thought the stain eraser would be good in the meantime, as well as in… Read more
the long term to clean up mess that he would inevitably bring inside from the garden etc. Five months later and I haven't needed to get professional carpet cleaning, because there's only one stain that I haven't been able to remove with the Bissell stain eraser. Couldn't be happier with it, although when I was initially cleaning up the old stains I found that I was using a lot of the detergent/consumables that go with it, so now I buy an extra when it goes on sale. Definitely been a worthwhile purchase for me.
Waste of money- ineffective product – If you want a good way of aimlessly discarding $150+ purchase this product. This product is cheap, nasty and ineffective. It will douse your furniture in water, then struggle to suck it up. Donate to charity.... don't purchase this product. Show details

ergonomically designed and a breeze to clean with all parts being easy to remove. The product allowes you to treat the stain by spraying and scrubbing; with a tilt and pulling back it will suction up the soiled liquid which is then stored in a separate tank. A very handy tool you will not regret purchasing and from the cleaning experts Bissell.
