Black & Decker GL741

Garbage – By far the worst piece of garden equipment I have ever owned. I regularly spend more time messing with the crappy spool system than using it and now it justs snaps off as after about 5 minutes. It's still looks new but is headed for the bin. It is garbage.

Black & Decker GL741 – Recently I just purchase this Electric trimmer from Kogan.com.au for $87 (without shipping cost).It works same power as Petrol trimmer. I am quite impressed with it. It does cut the edges quite well and quick. Feel very light weight and easy to handle. Only try it twice and don't know any other problem will occurs? Will update more.

B&D Line trimmer – I bought this trimmer yesterday and I am quite impressed with it. It has as much power as a petrol whipper snipper and gets through the weeds, lawn and does the edges quite well. It's quite light weight and easy to manoeuvre compared to other snippers I have tried. The only problem I had with it is that the snipping line did not feed that well. It still went for 1/2 an hour. I will fix the line and try again. Good value for money at $109.

Terrible – Do not buy this product! In the year I have had one, it has broken and been replaced twice already, and has just broken for a third time. I am only doing a small amount of trimming around the garden beds where the mower does not reach on a small domestic block. Nothing extreme. I just talked to B&D and they refuse to do a refund rather than yet another replacement. They were a bit off hand as well. I will toss it once the guarantee expires. By that stage, I will probably have gone through at least seven trimmers! I like having a non-petrol trimmer. Do not buy this product! It keeps breaking.
