Yes they are cheap, but it is not worth it for the pain they cause your feet. Seriously the most uncomfortable shoes you can wear, even with sole inserts they are unwearable.

For the cost, these boots made in America are the best value for money,$70. I have been wearing mine for 9 months and they look brand new. Yes I agree that there should be more padding in the boots for your feet. They are outlasting my Aussie made boots which tend to wear very quickly. A good and long lasting boot for most warehouse and job… Read more

environments but not for chemical environments or cement work. 9 months old and looking brand new and only $70.

I recently had a bad accident at home. I had my 2 tone car roll off the service ramps and onto my foot and ankle and was trapped for approximately 20 minutes. Fortunately nothing was broken. The steel to is deformed to the point I can't wear them… Read more

and had to replace them. I believe these boots saved me from serious injury. I replaced them with blacksmith again. I use orthotics in my foot wear so the comfort is individual to me but they fit them very well. As a result of my accident I highly recommend these boots. Very greatfull that they did what they are ment to.

Follow-up  · Follow up to the questions. The sole held up like nothing even happened, the grip was and still is great, there are some scuffs where it was pressed against the concrete. The steel to did protrude slightly from the pressure and as previously mentioned the steel toe is deformed slightly. These boots are over 12 months old which is average for other boots, still had life in these ones but unfortunately had to replace. Photos included this time.

Not that bad for the price – Have owned 2 pairs of these boots, the first were straight lace up boots the next had the side zip as well. I work in very wet environments with chemicals thrown into the mix. Not the best for waterproof footwear but I haven't found any that are. I don't get my feet submerged often enough to use gummies. Reasonably comfortable to wear, like the… Read more

zip so I can get them on and off quick. They do tend to come apart, I've had the sole let go on one and the upper is coming unstuck on my current pair. Both pairs have lasted around 8 - 10 months, not bad for a $60 pair of safety boots. Never had cause to test the safety cap but I have rested heavy steel plate on the toe no problem. Will buy these boots again.

Blacksmith brand safety boots from Big W – I purchased these safety boots from Big W on 28/09/2021 for $69.00 prior to commencing work in another profession. While I am a big believer in you get the quality you pay for, these boots were what I could afford then (I have been wearing military & other government department issued boots for my 44yr working life so far. These boots would have… Read more

to be the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn because they have next to zero cushioning in the sole & as I am standing up for the majority of my work day, bought some Dr Scholl branded cushioned sole inserts to have some degree of comfort. Don’t buy this brand of safety boots unless that’s all you can afford & you’re prepared to put up discomfort & sore feet until you can purchase a better brand. If you do buy these, I strongly recommend you purchase some cushioned sole inserts. One star rating given because the boot complies with the relevant Australian Standard.
