a couple of computers, a mid sized UPS with phone, security cameras and internet modem attached to it and some phone chargers. I did notice the UPS kicking in and out as the load changed but apart from that it ran faultlessly for 9.5 hours on about 2/3rds of a tank of diesel. The only drawback is even though it says it is "Silenced" it is pretty loud. I had it 50 metres from the house and could still hear it inside with the doors and windows closed.

Hornet 4000 is powerful!! – Blue Diamond has strong pressure cleaners. I’ve bought my last three from here, all hornets. I buy all my machines from the one place. Great service by Mark at the counter desk.

Stable off-grid power – After 2 years as reliable as ever. Oil just needs checking regularly. Runs two waters pumps, washer/dryer, workshop, and the usual house needs perfectly. Key start and controls are helpful. Even if it is Chinese-made it is clearly in the better quality end of generators compared to Genquip Kipor Ryobi GMC Honda and some nameless others we have had over the last 30 years. Heavy though and not really portable without a forklift.

Revolting customer service – I cannot fathom how this business is still operating. Their phone manner is appalling and their unwillingness to help me solve the problem with the gen sets purchased from them a few years ago is even more baffling. I explained the predicament I was in but they did nothing to facilitate that and while I left it to the last hour to ring them back and enquire about progress, I was rung up on twice. After ringing back the third time I asked how many more times I was to be rung up on. It was denied I was being hung up on and put thru to the service manager only to be told crap about the state of my gen set. When I picked it up and put it to service the genset failed immediately under load and did not work for the rest of the evening. I would strongly recommend not even considering these people when purchasing product. They offer nothing unique to the market and there are many other company’s out there that know what good customer service is. The office is scruffy, unclean and untidy, the staff are unkept, rude and lack basic people skills and are generally awful. Including the female sales assistant, [name removed] his supervisor [name removed]. [name removed] was also no better, nether was the fat man working out the back. They may all be related to each other and their boss, or the owner scrapes the bottom of the barrel when employing “poeple” and pays peanuts to [name removed]. I sincerely hope I have not broken the rules of “posting guidelines” but I am totally dumbstruck to the service I have rec’ed to the point of laughter.

Office staff - please step up to a professional level

Don't believe the fake review – Poor quality Chinese made mass produced products. Bad customer service and support. Have made formal complaint to consumer protection. There 30 day money back guarantee is a load of junk and they do not honour it. Would strongly advise buying from blue diamond.

fantastic if you have an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), it will start the gen set and transfer to gen power when the grid goes down, and stop the gen set and transfer back when the grid goes back up.

This unit has a 12HP 4 Stroke Air Cooled Diesel Engine, electric start and all the protection you need in a great quality silenced canopy on wheels. Only around 70db @ 7 meters, so very quiet.

This unit is solid and handles both air conditioners, my fridge and separate freezer, along with a room of electronics very easily. Smallish on board diesel fuel tank, only 13 liters which will last around 8 hours at 6KVA (100% Load) and around 10 to 12 at 50% load.

Unit is fitted with a 25A RCD [full (ELCB) earthleakage protection fitted] and both 15A outlets are protected with RCD and double circuit breakers (22.5A MAX). Perfect for your own protection. It also has a earthing point for the gen set itself (Highly recommended to earth all gen sets).

I highly recommend this unit for small applications, but BDM offers larger gen sets if needed. This unit is a beauty, and offers everything that I need for those drawn out Adelaide summers.
