Blue Yeti Premium Multi-Pattern USB Microphone

Easy to use and works great – When Covid hit, moved to online classes and zoom meetings. Have a very good mic on my tablet that we do the zoom meetings on, but since it is often flat on my desk so i can do handwriting, my voice sails right over the top of it and many students were complaining about not being able to hear me clearly. Tried a headset but hated it, was uncomfortable and the wires were annoying and in the way. I know nothing about sound equipment and certainly not a professional, so was a bit awash with choices when it came to buying a microphone. Settled on the blue Yeti mostly because it was one of the few things that was actually in stock at the time and didn't require a huge set up or knowledge about sound mixing, and didn't break the bank.

Plug and play, literally just plugged it into my usb hub and it was ready to use. I have it on the side of my workspace, not directly in front, so it isn't in my workflow space and the students all say that they hear me perfectly now. No idea if it would suit a more professional need, but for a zoom meeting, it is wonderful and am extremely happy with its performance and ease of use.
