This was a perfect experience for me. It was love at first sight with the gorgeous work. You know when you see a piece of art and it stops you in your tracks. And you can’t stop thinking about it. It still happens and I get to see this work in my office every day. The purchase and delivery experience was flawless. I look forward to buying via Bluethumb again soon. Thank you
Keanna-Belle Sacilotto creates artwork that feels both vibrant and deeply calming. Her floral still life pieces are full of rich colour, soft light, and delicate detail. Her art is both personal and timeless. I would fill my house with her art if I had the means!
Buy ethical art, don’t buy from Bluethumb. This company is horrendous to artists. They take 40% commission (35% if you are indigenous) on top of this artists pay for freight of the artwork, half of any discounts given on art, promotion of the art and if they want to have more than 5 paintings up they pay a monthly subscription ranging from $29-$79… Read more
per month on top of the commission taken which means the commission is effectively more than 50%. There are much better, more ethical places to buy your art. Bluethumb isn’t one of them. If you buy art from Bluethumb they are taking more of your money than the poor Artist.

Found a great picture to hang in my new house. Amazing to find a local artist and a painting of a very well known local location. Thanks Blue thumb for connecting me with Sue Coote a local surf coast artist.
Purchased our artwork, “Meet Under the Arches”, by Estelle Asmodelle, from Bluethumb Art Gallery, It certainly was the best, and easiest decision we made. This masterpiece is stunning, bold, bright, and a conversation starter. We will certainly buy from them again.
We’re very happy with this purchase. A wonderful addition to our home.
Made finding the kind of art I wanted extremely simple
Gorgeous piece! We’re very happy with our piece from Sophie Lawrence. We had been looking for a large piece to hang near our dining room table, and we’re very happy we found it.
Very happy with our art. It is a fabulous piece! The experience through BlueThumb was equally rewarding!
I ordered two paintings and they look exactly as they did on the Bluethumb website; an accurate representation which is very important. Delivery was prompt and efficient.
l love My Rebecca James art work wish l could buy more! Bluethumb delivered it well packaged
I paid $650 for my piece, and the printer canvass turned up with a frame printed on the image, it was such a shame becuase the painting is beautiful. I asked BLUETHUMB to fix it so the painting only appears on the canvass but they messed around, didn’t answer my question for around 3 weeks and so I the processed the refund. I then had to wait an… Read more
excessive amount of time for a refund and had to battle for it at he end after they suggested the refund had been processed when it hadn’t.
I wouldn’t waste my time with BLUETHUMB again.

Love the artwork and the transaction and shipping was flawless. I love having an original art work on our wall to spark a little joy every day. Very happy! Thank you!
Very quick delivery, well packaged and exactly as shown in the photo. I'm extremely happy with this purchase
We purchased a few original paintings from Bluethumb a couple of months ago and are happy with all except Magic Garden Duo which has a visibly poor finish on an edge which the light hits (see photos). It is very disappointing as friends have also noticed it without us saying anything. We have priced getting the duo framed in order to cover this poor edge, but this would cost an additional $700, which we aren't willing to pay.
Have purchased several art pieces from Bluethumb and have always been happy with the quality of the art and the Bluethumb service.
We had been watching this piece for about a year as we had visualized it in out new home we were building. AS the end date of our build comes closer, we made the decision to buy this piece. We couldn't be happier. It is modern with the shades of blue and hint of gold that will match our home perfectly. We are waiting to move into our new home and… Read more
are very much looking forward to mounting as the feature piece when you enter our home. Thank you to pete+chrissy
This art piece is amazingly beautiful as is individually nonconformist, just stunning. I’m fortunate and thankful to Bluethumb for making it possible to find such great art

Purely from an artist’s perspective, the entire process of applying to register and upload works on Bluethumb Art has been a nightmare. From early August 2025 until now, I have gone through three rounds of application submissions and approvals.… Read more
Throughout the process, there was almost no real support. Most of the responses came from an AI agent named “Fin,” and occasionally there was a very brief reply from someone called Vince. Otherwise, no one in the department seemed willing to engage or assist.
The last time, I spent an entire evening carefully and thoroughly describing my issues, working until after 3 a.m., and sent the email in the hope of receiving help or at least a response. More than a week has passed since then, and there has been no reply at all.
In contrast, I have already successfully completed the setup of my gallery on Art Lovers Australia. The management and support at ALA are excellent. For artists who are looking for a platform to sell their work, I recommend Art Lovers Australia without any reservation.
Follow-up · Had enough. No intention of going back. Thanks

I have recently purchased two works from different artists through Bluethumb. Each piece was from different artists located in different states to me. They both arrived in a few days, very well packaged and in perfect condition. I am very pleased… Read more

I discovered Bluethumb by accident when ‘googling’ “Rainy day and night paintings”; by doing this I discovered Mike Barr and Jianqiang Xu and their extraordinarily beautiful paintings. I have purchased some of Mike Barr’s oil paintings of rainy cityscapes and have purchased about twenty of Jianqiang Xu’s fabulous watercolour paintings. Jianqiang… Read more · 2
is a master of watercolour painting, capturing everything from ocean waves, waterfalls and water cascading over rocks to sunsets and sunlight reflecting on streets, portraits, furry animals and much more besides. I have commissioned Jianqiang to paint a watercolour of two precious pets of mine; a Golden Retriever circa 1971-1982, and an English Springer Spaniel circa 1999-2012. I know that I will be able to touch them - well almost! - when Jianqiang finishes the commission.
Now Jianqiang has added a painting that includes a garden fountain and I am considering buying it too. I really need to stop adding to my really large art collection, we already have 75 works of art hanging in our house, but what can I do when I see such beautiful paintings at quite inexpensive prices?
I am certain that there are many more fabulous artists who are selling their artwork through Bluethumb but I had better not explore their artwork because I do not know where I would be able to display their artwork.

SARA ROBERTS' ARTWORK summons up one-word "TIMELESS" – In her paintings, Sara captures the spirit and the essence of the very moment with her playful colours yet with such skills of the old masters… Her painting speaks volumes… and touches one's heart and soul. It's an abstract and not... neither is any one particular set of colours, but a saturation of colours, nor a particular shade, but in all… Read more · 1
different tints and shades in a rich layering of distinct gradation. It's dreamlike yet realistic. It's romantic and fulfilment. We are seeing each of her creations and feel the warmth and passion through Sara's vision of her moments… One More Night 'in person', it's such an overwhelming experience and a truthfully Wow-Factor work. THANK YOU, SARA <3
2.06.2021 Dear Emily Thank you for your purchase of "One More Night". The idea of painting Bon Fired came to me during the beginning of COVID-19 lockdowns. The importance of keeping your loved one close and how important it is for us all to take time to connect in meaningful ways with others. I am also constantly exploring the idea of time and space in my paintings and creating these moments that feel almost timeless. I hope this painting will brighten your days and nights...
11/06/2021 Dear Sara THANK YOU so much for your most beautiful gorgeous 'La Vie En Jaune' card which was penned in such beautiful posh calligraphy written with the most touchy words. Most importantly, 'Thank You' for creating such an exquisitely beautiful piece of "One More Night", it's, as I expected, like a dream coming into my home… many more nights… the scenery of a hot sizzling, burning yellow and orange fire, throwing lights onto the wondrous faces of loved ones celebrating a moment of joy and togetherness under the twinkling starry curtain in all shades of blue and indigo, with swirling smokes of ash and violet, dancing their way upwards… 'a glimpse of heaven', utterly speechless! You are so correct, reminiscing of fond memory past, gone by the days we can all gather anytime, anywhere, grab a bite, kiss and hug each other, so carefree, such freedom. When it comes so easy, who could ever imagine it's so out of reach and such luxury now? What's the 'norm' simply becomes 'impossible'! Your ideas of time and space in your paintings are in fact so precious and indeed those moments you created are absolutely beautiful and most definitely 'timeless'. Love your 'Les Baigneurs' and 'Green Hours' as well, I am sure your fans could not wait for them to be released. Hope it will be soon. Take great care and continue with your creative genius and masterly pieces...
Hi Emily, THANK YOU so much, you have made my day. Nothing really makes me happier than your message. The reason I make a painting is for the conversation I get to have with you and I am touched that you are so happy with it! I hope you enjoy it for many many more years to come... Sent Jun 12, 15:29
16/6/2021 Dear Sara ...Due to Covid-19, I am sort of stuck in Hong Kong, so I started shopping with Bluethumb on 17th June 2020. Time flies, It will be a year tomorrow. "One More Night" is the seventeenth painting from Bluethumb so far. I didn't consult my hubby as he doesn't believe in buying any artwork without seriously and physically looking into and at it. So it is going to be a surprise as I too fill the apartment's walls up with paintings the Parisien way, although so minimal comparatively, all of my own accords - for a change! Thank You Sara so much, I will opt for black wood which serves as an 'extension'...
Sara: Dear Emily, Oh I love that! Your home sounds absolutely incredible. And I love the Parisien way, as I actually grew up in Paris and French is my first language. So I can relate to the Parisien way. :-) And I find it magical that all the objects we love always seem to fit together in our homes... I think that it is incredible that you are supporting so many Australian artists on Bluethumb! I am so thankful to you and to them. They are a wonderful gallery and they have always taken such good care of me. The first painting I ever sold was on Bluethumb back in 2013 I think? So they hold a special place in my heart. Yes, I love the idea of the black frame for this one. Do send me a picture when it is on the wall. I would love to see it! ...
Dear Sara Growing up in Paris, the global centre for Art and with the other countries you lived and travelled to, far and wide, all those places so rich in culture since the Renaissance and Age of Discovery, you are the envy of most particularly for those in your profession. It's no wonder I take an instant liking when I first saw your paintings. My husband and I have our honeymoon touring London, and Paris and covering Europe from Denmark and Belgium… cruising the Blue Danube to Budapest, and then down to Venice, Florence, and Rome for 45 days. We love the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Louvre, and the Vatican most. Congratulations! Your 'Green Hours' sold immediately at your release. THANK YOU and HAPPY PAINTING Best and Warmest As always Emily :)
Attachment 1 - La Vie En Jaune Attachment 2 - One More Night Attachment 3 - I had the One More Night framed but required to be hung by a professional. I am sure you all will love Sara as much as I do THANK YOU :)
For artists: As an artist Bluethumb is okay at best – I am writing this review as an artist who has had work on bluethumb to help other artists and not as a buyer. As as artist Bluethumb is okay but not great. Bluethumb think they are selling paintings and paintings are their product but it's not. Their product is artists and without artists they have no business. They should keep this in mind and… Read more
treat artist better but they don't. Here are the cons: 1. There is very little support for artists -bluethumb don't answer the phone to artists, the emails are often minimal and poorly worded, so communication with artists isn't great or supportive. So if you have a problem with a sale it takes hours to get a response by email and by phone you get no response at all. Calls from artists are not returned. 2. The site isn't curated in anyway. Anyone can shove any junk up there so buyers have to sift through a million amateur art works to find yours - if they ever do 3. Bluethumb tell buyers they are paying for freight however they pass this cost onto the artist at often a much higher rate than the actual freight cost. So you the artist might be charged $60 for freight when you list the painting. If its a small work and you take it to Aust. Post it costs $19.95. You get the $19.95 refunded but the other $40 they keep "for insurance costs" 4. as an artist you are treated as a dispensable commodity 5. I am sure if you are a "best seller" Bluethumb are fantastic
The pros: 1. You can sell work on Bluethumb - perhaps not gallery standard work but reasonably priced work might sell if you can get seen 2. the upload process is super easy and works really well 3. You have total control over pricing of your work

I have purchased 3 artworks from Bluethumb on separate occasions. The delivery has always been seamless and the artworks an absolute treat to unwrap. I love the variety of at available and am continually adding to my wishlist. My recent purchases from Tarli Bird and Bianca Harrington are beautiful and even better in real life.
Easy to navigate website. Photos were true depictions. Artwork was promptly delivered and carefully packaged. Loved every original piece we ordered - and there were several! Wonderful to receive personal notes from each artist and to support local talent. Certainly has brightened our new home. Highly recommend!
Purchased the art as wedding present for son & his wife. It looks wonderful on their wall and they are extremely happy with it. They chose the artwork themselves. The only disappointment I had was that I received no communication confirming date of delivery and just luckily I was home when I walked past the front door and noticed through the… Read more
leadlight that the very large artwork had been delivered. I was sitting in the study only a few metres away and there was no door knock or ringing of doorbell to alert us that item was being delivered. It was some hours later that I received email from Bluethumb confirming delivery had been made.

Bluethumb are un contactable!! and never get back by email after an enquiry and forget trying to call on phone. Payment for my artwork has taken longer than stated on the site and I still have not received payment 9 days after customer received the painting. I have not received any notification of transfer etc....Add to this the super high commission they take and I am getting off the platform. signed unhappy artist.
Total waste of time from start to finish. Tried Bluethumb for the first time for 3 pieces and needed to return a couple. They take up to a week to respond to emails. Phone lines are never answered - just rings straight out. When they respond by email they miss the point, or ignore questions and you need to ask multiple times. Return booked with a… Read more
courier that never showed up. Don't muck around with Bluethumb, their return policy isn't worth the paper its written on and their support is non existent. Just use your local art galleries and support the artist, not this waste of time company.
Beautiful painting however it arrived with a slight bit of damage to the painting on the right hand side after framing. Multiple emails sent to Bluethumb advising them of the situation with photos of the damage however no response over 6 months later. Also received inaccurate information from Bluethumb advising painting had been delivered when it… Read more
had been delivered to the framing studio. When it was finally on its way from framer to be delivered I received no notification and was not home for 3-4 days to inspect.
Dissapointing experience overall having spent close to 5k on my first ever bluethumb purchase that to this day remains damaged.
