BMPRO J35 Battery Management System Questions & Answers
I have a JhubC J35 Battery management system in my motorhome can I bypass the aAC charging system
Only by replacing it with something else, Victron for example
I have just read the entire list above re the BMPro J35 system. I have the BatteryPlus35-II-HA plus the mini boost fitted. I have 2 x 190w solar panels and would like to add more, but the J35 system seems limited to a max solar input of 30A ?I run 2 X 100AH agm house batteries. My system was installed in first quarter 2022. Does anyone know if this later date saw improvements / upgrades, and if so what please??. I will say that i really want to stick with BMPro as they are Australian made, but the low level of support is very concerning.
Can you take the solar away from the j35c and put it a separate controller
I too would like to know the answer to this particular question. I have considered this as a viable options to bypass the poor performing BMPRO J35C internal solar controller. I have also wondered whether both the mini DC to DC charger, which connects into the AUX port on the J35, could also support dual input from a separate solar controller, thus allowing the bypassing the internal solar controller but still being able to monitor the system of the JHUB tablet via the AUX reading. I don't know if this would work to boost the performance but I'd like to hear the opinions of those brain trust individuals out there.
I am looking at upgrading to the new BM Pro D model, thoughts?
Has anything changed between the last post and today (31-07-2019)? I'm looking at the Jayco MS.22-2 and am pretty impressed with the way it is presented I don't need to have all the hassles that Walter S is having though and I must admit that the battery and control compartment looks a bit like it's just thrown together with no pride in workmanship whatsoever
I’m not aware of any significant changes other than software updates, which tune the system a bit better and better system knowledge within the service network. If you want to do serious off grid camping expect to spend some extra money on on the upgrade. At least the larger vehicle you are looking at has more space for extra solar and a second battery. And don’t mess with the android tablet settings. Best to keep it off the internet and disable data logging. Computers can crash and pick up viruses.
We have a MS22 and found we needed to remove the air-conditioning to make space foe a second 150 watt solar panel to keep up with the power needs of the fridge
