Spend your money on a more reliable grinder! – Top part cracked after a few months of use, June 2024. It is our second one in one year. It is extremally well designed to fail! Very disappointed! Will try to fix it by gluing a nut, or other matching metal cylinder, over the cracked plastic with square hole that turns the square steel shaft.
Love it but awkward – I love or should I say loved my bodum salt and pepper grinder! Unfortunately the way that you have refill is awkward resulting in it breaking, when you pull off the top it can be difficult and this has resulted in the plastic support breaking..so my poor grinder is being held together by love, it definitely needs replacing.... you to bodum customer service, I'm very impressed with your quick response and amazing service! Definitely 5 star!
Disappointed – Love it BUT, it died. The plastic came apart at the top. Very Disappointing for a brand of this quality.Currently it is taped as I work out how to proceed with Bodum.
Looks nice but poor quality – Looks pretty and seems like a great idea but I never found it a good grinder. Then it broke. The handle has a nylon key mechanism that fits into the square shaft of the grinders. After a few months the nylon had broken so the handle no longer turns the shaft. Very badly designed.
Buy something else – I have had two of these - the first I decided must have been a dodgy one so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and bought another because it was just so damned convenient! It was really good having a grinder that did both salt and pepper however both died after about three months. If your in the market for a salt and pepper grinder, buy… Read more
something else. Convenient salt and pepper in one grinder Longevity! I've had refillable supermarket ones last years! They just aren't as pretty
short lived – Salt shaker has died after only 6 months, even cheap salt grinders last longer than this. Given that we both work full time and eat out a lot, I dont' think it got excess use. Liked the concept and shapre but really unhappy with lack of quality mechanisms! The grind was also very course and couldn't be adjusted any further to make it finer. shape grind mechanism was obviously poor quality to have broken in less than 6 months
Short lived – Had one of these for 6 days, performed well during this period until the grinding mechanism self-destructed. Looks fairly well built from the outside but clearly cheap inferior parts on the inside. After reading other reports on this grinder I found this is not an isolated case. A real shame as it was nice to use although it does have poor… Read more
capacity so you'll be re-filling about once a week on average - if you can get it to last that long!
This could have so easily been a four star review but a 6 day lifespan is beyond a joke. Good 'fine to course' grind range, only takes one or two twists for a good amount. Very poor build quality of inner workings, poor capacity, overpriced
The best grinder - works perfectly – A friend in Denmark introduced us to this awesome grinder. It looks great, is compact, doesn't rust, and best of all, actually grinds salt and pepper beautifully! Simply rotate one way for salt, the opposite direction for pepper. Every visitor we have loves it! Unfortunately it seems to be more expensive in Australia - we bought ours in Denmark… Read more
for about $25, but here the cheapest I have found is $45. Works perfectly! Compact, stylish, reliable
