Can you apply 3coats of Drive On Paving Paint?

Hi Russell. Yes you probably could apply 3 coats of Bondall Drve-On paint, but I wouldn't recommend using this product under any circumstances. I used the 2 coats, as instructed, and it chipped and flaked off just with being walked on. And I did a VERY careful preparation. I think an extra coat would just make it worse.

I've had outstanding results with White Knight Ultra Pave in a number of areas. I think that this product would be a much better choice.

Just a further thought - when I spoke to Bondall about my problems with their Drive-On paint I got rudely fobbed off.

hi i painted my outdoor pool surround with drive on paving paint. this area was previously painted so i pressure washed it 3000lb washer & blasted off all loose paint that i could thus leaving some areas of old paint & other areas of bare conc. i then let it dry thoroughly & painted it with 20% diluted product. it covered previously areas well but left bare areas dull .so today gave a second coat of undiluted product & the dull areas are still there. leaving a patchy finish. any suggestions?

Well Ray, like you , I was disappointed with the end result. I did my garage floor which I thoroughly washed and removed any muck. Paint supplier said if I just applied two coats it would cover well. I left it three days and drove on to it. The tyres lifted the paint. Bondall informed me about the dilution factor that is explained.....if you take the trouble to read the very fine print. Unless I buy two more litres and strip back the affected part to try again................ I have so far left it for another day. I would not advise anyone to use this product. The manufacturer was not sympathetic at all. It was quite expensive and didn't perform according to the claims advertised.

Hi Ray. I was completely disappointed with Bondall Drive On Paint. I followed the preparation directions carefully and applied it as advised on the tin. With only light foot traffic it started showing wear and lifting in small flakes within a couple of days. The manufacturer was completely unsympathetic with me too. I have re-painted the entire area with White Knight Ultra Pave, which was super easy to apply, looks wonderful and is showing no sign of wear.

Bondall Drive On paint was an expensive and time consuming mistake. If I had my way it wouldn't be on the market.
