Bosch Go Professional Cordless Screwdriver

A toy that turned into a tool that increases in value every-time I use it – Works great for what I use it for. This is the second one i’ve had since the original was borrowed and taken interstate by accident. It's perfect for assembling Ikea flat pack products. Can vouch for it being perfect for Ekenabben, Bestä, Trofast and Billy shelving and cupboard assembly. Have also used it for simple jobs like unscrewing battery packs, opening electronics, fitting and mounting light fittings, niggly bathroom fittings, shed locks, cupboard doors and drawer handles, TV cabinet doors, the mailbox flap. Oh yeah, and replacing the bulb in the range-hood and on and on. It works.

Its easy, efficient, and effective. Really has made doing all those little jobs around the house easy. Especially with the range of screwdriver bits it comes with. And amazingly, its led to me finding a whole heap more screws in bed. Now thats a bonus they didn’t mention on the box.

The variable torque settings are really handy. No more stripping heads using larger 12v & 18v drills. Find it useful that I am able to give an extra twist manually to make sure screws are properly tight.

As i read in reviews before i made purchase, the auto pressure actuator trigger, both clockwise and anti-clockwise, takes a couple goes to get used to. But once you’ve got the hang of it I’ve found it great. The torque is good enough to get away from you sometimes but even on its highest setting I’m yet to do any damage.

In terms of battery life I’m yet to run out of charge using it over a day. I have had the battery led flashing but it has not cut out. Devices charges with provided USB cord plugged into car or iPhone charger, and from experience, takes about 40 min to recharge (manual says 90min).

Only real issue for me has been the screwdriver heads sticking in screws or dropping out after removing it from the screw. I’ve had to go looking around for the bit on several occasions. And the bits being painted matt black has had me searching, especially when they bounce under or behind the lounge, or into an engine bay.

But that aside its a fantastic tool and a valuable addition to my DIY home handy man kit.
