Handle man needs a quality heat gun – I bought this heat gun because it has a lcd temperature display. It is my first heat gun and I think it is important to know the target temperature. It will let me learn about the melting temperature of the items that I work on and avoid overheat the untreated area. I am waiting for the summer to come and will heat up charcoal with the heat gun.… Read more
It will be handy and safe to heat up the bbq.
The heat gun can stand on a desk or floor by putting down the lcd display side. It is steady and safe to cool down heat gun after use. The only thing I complain is it doesn't come with nozzles. You can buy after market ones though.
Great heat gun – Professional heat gun that works really well. Wider temperature range than most others (50 - 630 Celsius). Solid build, easy to use and weights around 1 Kg. Heats up really fast and cools down (to 50 degrees) fast as well. I really like this product as it does the one thing it supposed to do really well. The digital display was a main plus… Read more
point for me as it shows the target temperature and gradually increase when the gun is heating up. This helped me to know when the gun is ready. The built in overheat protection sensor works well too - it shuts down the heating element if the target surface is overheated. This is especially helpful if you are using this heat gun for electronics projects. The gun can be kept in an upright position for hands free mode operations as well.
At the time of purchase, this was the most expensive heat gun and it doesn't come with accessories (nozzles). The nozzles have to be purchased separately and are expensive - e.g.: Surface Nozzle is around $29. If you are looking for a heat gun for hobbyist type of work, this may not be the product for you. Most cheap alternatives comes bundled up with nozzles - e.g.: Ozito 2000W Variable Temperature Heat Gun comes with a slew of accessories.
Before buying this product I read reviews on heat guns and found there are many YouTube videos praising this product from people around the world. These videos also helped me to learn how to properly use a heat gun.
In conclusion, this is the heat gun if you are after accurate temperature control and prolong use. But if you are after a heat gun to only roast coffee beans, spend less on a cheaper alternative.
Excellent – Great bit of kit. Big heat range, from warm to extreemly hot. I have only used my one for around ten hours but has been great and performance has not changed since the first use. There are cheaper ones on the market but in saying that this one was not too expensive. I beleive you can also get attachments for the tip to direct heat however I have… Read more
no need for this. Lightweight, as descibed it has three fan speeds. It has a digital read out on the rear with a simple oeration button to adjust heat up and down. The heat changes very quickly after changing it. I could not fault my heat gun.
