Used non bosch glue sticks seemed to leak and destroy gun is this normal

How has it destroyed the gun?

Wish l could help but l offer only a guess. If the Bosch glue sticks worked without a issue l would then think that the non genuine glue sticks are the problem. I think it might be due to the melting consistency of the glue.

Glue leaked all through trigger mechanism inside the gun then dripped through the trigger slot on to the work piece think nate might be on to something buying a new gun then sticking to genuine sticks no pun intended

I have bought one of these, although not as bad as my old cheap gun, it still leaks a little. Is this normal?

I've also one of these. It does tend to leak a little. It leeks less with Bosch glue sticks then with cheap ones from fleabay.

Thanks for the answer. I'm only using the Bosh glue sticks. Despite the little leak I love it

I havent experienced this issue although others apparently have. Might have something to do with quality of glue stick or it is normal.
