Have a Bosclip electric edger bought in 1993 motor stopped working, can it be repaired or are there any issues with this unit.Rob
I have owned 5 Bosclip edgers 3 of the old Aluminium frame and two of the newer ones in the past 44 years. I have found if they get any moisture at all on the motor it stops working, the other day it started to shower rain and I tried to finish the edgers and the rain water run down the handle.I tried to start the motor yesterday but it keeps tripping the fuse box can it be repaired.
Cut out the earth wire , and the fuse box will never trip again , and your edger will always be operational..
What sort of an answer is that.
A fatal answer unless it’s a double insulated Machine - DONT CONSIDER IT - get advice from a qualified person
Actually - if its double insulated it wont have an earth wire - an earth wire / connections and the earth wiring in a building are the ESSENTIAL SAFETY SYSTEM.
I agree with the advice of Stuart Fox. Although I cut the earth wire to stop my fuse box tripping, I wouldn’t advise anyone else doing the same. Although cutting the earth wire worked for me, this doesn’t mean that this will work for everyone, and it can be a dangerous practice. SO DON’T DO IT….✅✅✅
