Solar HWS pair were no longer on the roof. [Name Removed] reply (which I found insulting given the extent I had gone to in order to provide totally correct and up-to-date information and verified with a Google Earth photo attachment) was - "Ok so a new updated quote has been sent however if it ends up we get up there and there are more or less the invoice will reflect that" Let me put it this way - At more than twice the price of others and repeatedly over quoting, there will be no invoice as I don't like to be ripped off with exorbitant pricing, verified by 2 other companies that quoted less than half the final BWGC quote provided for 28 panels. So if you do use BWGC, be sure you check that they quote on the number of panels you actually have on your roof, check with other businesses that have a large number of great reviews and ask BWGC the reason they quote >$1200 when each of 2 other quotes came in under $600 !!!!!

Last minute cancellations - mess around – Both times we booked this service we were cancelled on last minute, only 20 minutes or so before the service was meant to begin. Book it in - no phone call the night before as promised so I can let the people know the guys are coming. Ring that morning - confusion in the office - the guy doing the work "can't find the place" (its on a main road so I read into it that the job is somehow bigger/more difficult than they quoted online) - but I'm to ring the guy to find out arrangements - no call back - and then he turns up by himself. Which is odd because I don't see how the job could really be done safely with one person up a roof.

I tell him that so far the confidence level is low and I'm not impressed as I have messed up the morning arrangements for other things and messed the people around in the house already - the reply? An arrogant comment of "if you don't like it then I can go" - to which I say "off you go".

Moral of the story especially for matters such as people climbing on your roof - firstly if you aren't confident in them from the get go don't proceed and find someone you are confident in - secondly, online quotes for this sort of stuff will (in my opinion) just mean that if they have underquoted on the job when they arrive then they will just mess you around and cause enough grief for you to give up.

Unfortunately a face to face arrogant attitude from the person who I believe to be the owner just confirms that business in this country is often not even remotely customer focused. Guys do the job you said you'd do ... it's just gutter cleaning.
