They added 200g + of water. Aussies start doing videos recordings of actual weight stated and what the chicken actually weighs. We are being swindled Show details
I recently purchased two packed of aldi broad oak farm chicken breasts. Make schnitzels with it last night. I have never not been able to cut chicken with my cutlery. What the hell do they do to their chickens. I would not recommend this product it is terrible. The unopened 2 breasts went in the rubbish bin tonight. I'm mad I wasted my… Read more
money, time and ingredients in this rubbish. Mad the chicken had to suffer to produce this uneatable products. Never ever again
Bought Boneless Drumstick Fillets September 2025 from Aldi. Filled the BBQ plate and magically 20% of the fillets disappeared as they are full of water to ad the extra weight to make up the 1.3kgs of chicken fillet. The BBQ plate was full of water so its very obvious what they are doing and I could have fitted two or three more fillets on the… Read more
plate easily when it was stacked initially. Shame on you Broad Oak Farms and Aldi for selling their inferior product. Should be called Broke Oak Farms seeing they are willing to rip off the public and give their business a bad name just to make an extra buck.
disgusting rotten smell first day opening bag of chicken legs do not shop at Aldis :') Show details
Badly plucked chicken wings, substandard tough and not recommended – I purchased two kilo bag of chicken wings from ALDI , the wings were covered in unplucked feather ends. The wings were bruised and not of the usual quality. It took an hour to pluck as many feathers and ultimately I took photos and sent them with a complaint to ALDI. I cooked a few wings but they were super tough. The response from customer… Read more
service was answered telling me to return the wings to the store for a refund , which I feel was an inadequate solution.
Awful – I wouldn't even give 1 star . Once it had some brown thing on leg piece and it literally smelled like $h!t. It got yellow and went bad before the best before date. Just now i opened another packet and i could see chicken feathers on it . I would not recommend this product
Aldi Broad Oak Breast and Thighs – I purchase broad oak chicken breast and thighs. I have purchased these for the last 5 years and find it really enjoyable to the palet. If I'm not cooking any chicken or meat when I purchase it, I will freeze it until cooking. As our fridges can be faulty and not to the proper temperature to keep our meats to the used by date. I have mentioned this… Read more
to my brother as he is always throwing his meat and chicken out a lot of the time. I have in the past purchased chicken from Woolies, Coles etc and have found it to all have a certain taste to the meat after its been cooked, I have not found this with Broad Oak chicken. Mind you, I have noticed lately if the fat looks a bit green in colour this is a sure sign the meat is already going off and I will point this out to the staff at Aldi so it can be taken off the shelf. I just hope they don't put it back after I walk off. This xan be due to not being kept at the right temp as well as poor packaging.
Clearly not Fresh! – It is clear not fresh as advertised! Buy one from Woolworths and one from Aldi, then you have a clear answer. Best drumstick is Woolworths. Coles is also good Show details
SHAME ON RSPCA – What I dont understand is that RSPCA Approves the chickens for being well looked after, but dont care about the process afterwards. All about the Money. I get a suspicion that the chicken is bleached, Same as Adelaide poultry Show details
Product is OK. Stated Weight is not – Chicken necks purchased from Aldi are underweight by approx 10%. I buy necks regularly and on an impulse checked the net weight on my accurate kitchen scales. I then reweighed the next time I bought them. Same result. Showed 916grams. The 1Kg weight includes the inedible blood absorbing bags. Show details
The worst chicken ever – This product is an absolute disgrace. It tasted like chemicals, plastic and cardboard box, I can't even describe how awful it tasted. It was absolutely awful so I threw it all away. What an absolute waste, poor animals I can't even imagine what they're fed. Shut down your farm.
Wings smell sour 7 days before used by date! – 2Kg Wings smell bad upon opening bag straight from store. Seems like contamination or refrigeration not up to standard, I threw them out. Show details
The chicken has gone bad and all this rubbish is being sold as such – I bought chicken from aldi and after coming home I was cutting to make it is in such a bad condition. Don't know how people are selling this? Show details

Rotten chicken fillet – We bought a chicken fillet in Aldi three days ago with an expiration date in 4 days. It’s already rotten even before date due to smell. Disgusting quality. Never buying this again. Show details
Little shop of horrors – I don't know if they hire psychopathic school kids to butcher these drumsticks but often they have there ankles broken (at least I hope it happened post mortum) - this 2kg bag had 7 out of 12 broken with one that looked like it was half minced. Not presentable as anything other than cat food. Come on guys its not that hard. Show details
Chicken mince – Bought chicken mince from Aldi and its not mince its a fine paste. Tastes different and how do you use paste??? May be they need to name it as a paste not mince... Show details
The chicken wings was terrible – Bought from Aldi on the 15 February 2021 I have pictures of how much I had to cut off bits that were hanging. There was breast bones that I had to cut out. Your quality control isn’t working. I will not be buying your products again. I took pictures Show details

Aldi Broad Oak Farms chicken wings - stench upon opening the package – The 2nd time I bought this from Aldi, and exactly the same experience - unbearable stench straight out of the packaging and this time wife wondering loud from upstairs whilst in a video conference. The 1st time when I had similar issue I thought it would just be random - things happen, even with reputable retailers. Well, same thing happening… Read more
twice over a period of a few months rules out the randomness.
The packaging bears Canstar logo, apparently manifesting the quality. I wonder when Canstar last time checked this product, as if I were the inspector today I would certainly cane all the stars. Aldi may be 'good different' on many products, but on this one it is certainly very much 'bad different'!
Claiming a full refund? Not worth the time and effort carrying the stinking wings all the way back and dumping on the counter.
