Buzz Fly Paper

Reviews here are all 1 star or 5 star, so this usually means that the 5 star reviews are all company fakes. Other brands don't work. I've tried. Normal fly traps do (with water and fly attractant inside, eg from Bunnings).
Fly paper – Best thing ever. Hung by my sliding door and catches flys that would otherwise be in my kitchen spreading disease. Please, Bunnings, please stock them again. Anyone know where else can I buy them in Tasmania?
Awesome – We’ve used these for years on our back verandah and found them to be highly effective. The only trouble we have is not being able to purchase at Bunnings for some reason.
Catches all my flies and on toxic – I use these as it actually says on them no poison. Works well. Stays sticky forever so hard to dispose of used ones with light getting stuck!! It says natural attractant and adhesive. Other brands don’t list anything. So while it’s not specific it’s a bit reassuring that you are not inhaling odours from poison. So hard to get in my small town I have to order them online.
Great for fungus gnats – These traps have been a lifesaver to rid the house of the fungus gnats which infested my indoor plants!! The gnats love them and they are so sticky - unlike other traps I tried. Very effective!
Work Well – Lot of reviews say they are useless, however my experience is the complete opposite. Left for a few weeks they will catch flies and bugs. Hang near a kitchen bid or window. Flies are attracted by light so hanging next to a light globe also works well. They won't work instantly and they won't suck flies towards them. Will never work as quickly as… Read more
spray . But if you don't want sprays in the house these are effective over time. If you want something more effective get a fly zapper.
They just don"t work – Flies seem to avoid these sticky strips. Didn't catch a fly in 7 days despite following directions. Cheap but better not to waste your money. A total and utter disappointment.
Absolutely Useless – I have several flies in the kitchen and not one on the sticky paper!!!! They are not attracted to it at all and in fact seem to avoid it. So I smeared some tin dog food on it (yes, atrocious looking) but still no luck. Out came the swatter! Several days later and I'm still swatting and there is 1 fly on the paper! It probably ran into it accidentally.
Works perfectly – This is the best on the market. I have tried other brands, as well as the liquid stuff, etc and ended up back with the original sticky paper. And Buzz is the best!!! Totally recommend it.
The best fly catcher ever! – I have them everywhere but here’s one on my verandah, but they are in my chook sheds and wherever the black buggers want to hide. I am totally over the flies this year
Works well enough for fruit flies – I have used these for a few years - both packs of 8 were purchased about 1-2 years ago - so the formulae may have changed. They are horrible to install... very hard not to get the sticky stuff on your hands and fingers. And a part of the installation cap and push pin - which I don't use gets thrown away by me - I don't have any roof materials that… Read more
you could push a pin into - so it appears to be a design that has not been updated for modern houses. I hang them at the front and rear doors so that I hope that bugs (flies in particular) will be tempted to rest on this just before they try to follow me into the house - and this seems to work. I hang one above my sink too - to catch those pesky fruit flies - and here it works particularly well... never caught a housefly on this position - I usually have to chase the flies with a swatter - so I tend to agree with other reviewers here. I live in the wet tropics - and there are no shortage of bugs - even though I have lots of wildlife helping with bug control (Geckos, Frogs, and microbats - lots of them!) but still find these useful as there are all kinds of bugs caught on these strips - even some species of wasps - so will continue to buy them - I noticed that they are no longer available at Woolworths and or Coles supermarkets - glad they can be purchased from Bunnings (or at least I think they are).
On balance - they are not worth the money - but I like not having to use sprays or other toxic control measures - I hope the company that gets them made listen to the poor fly performance reviews and improves them and reduces the price or makes bulk packs that work out affordable... I would never consider using this in my Chicken Coop - they are too expensive for that.
Brilliant – Yes they are very sticky and they do stick to everything but work a treat.Bought these to hang around chicken coup.Hung 2 out about 1 metre apart and within 2 hrs both traps were covered, I didnt realise how many flies there were until I used them.Glad we grabbed 2 packets because I will definitely use these again and again and again.
The Buzz Pest Glue Trap – I purchased this product to catch flies , just like it says it will. I put one strip up where the flies hang around the most in our residence in a sheltered area where my dog sleeps eats and rest's and I did this for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks. one fly. Lots of blue flies and now march flies, horse flies and standard little domestic "Louie: the… Read more
flies buzzing around the area but they were in no way interested and in fact, looked to be avoiding the strip when ever they flew near.
BUT
Just in case, I left the strip hanging for another week and stuck some small, usually very attractive to all flies bits of raw chicken skin, in the hope that any flies would be attracted to that. The bits of chicken skin on the strip, weren't attractive to any flies but if other bits of chicken were placed elsewhere around the area, there were lots of flies going to them.
Because of this , I now firmly think that these strips are most likely and most probably covered in a fly repellent.

Astonishingly ineffective – Nil functionality completely useless. You’ll have more luck killing a fly by hanging up an A4 piece of paper and hoping the fly runs into it. On the plus side this could easily be the worst product I have ever bought so at least life improves after hitting rock bottom.
Waste of money – House full of flies and not a single fly even went near it. Left out for a couple of days and no flies were caught. Wasted my money. Very disappointing.
No way any bugs will stick on it – I bought it and used it for 4 weeks but I still didn't see any bug since then. Today I saw a bug and and use the cardboard to lure it crawl on it. To my shock, not only the bug could walk on the sticky surface, even after its 10th move on the sticky survey, it was still moving (slightly slower, but I am sure it definitely won't trap any!) I'm throwing away all of them today! It's a complete waste of money
I got a really bad chemical burn from these just touched my arm 5 days layer still in mass pain – I got a really bad chemical burn from these just touched my arm 5 days layer still in mass pain daily burn dressings not nice. No position information on pack no ingredient information on packet. It is actually against law not to provide this information.
Rubbish – Don't buy this item, it doesn't attract anything, I think it actually kept flies away. The sticky material on it is really gooey, sticks to everything but the bugs and its hard too wash off your hands should you touch it.
Absolutely Useless – I bought a pack of these and we have a lot of flies around, I am not exaggerating when I say not one fly would sit on this fly paper, empty after days out. Total rubbish, do not buy!
Useless product – Have had some papers out for weeks in a heavily fly trafficked area. Not a single fly has landed on the paper in that time. They are far more intereated in anything else to land on. Do not waste your time and money!
Useless – Have used fly paper before but the buzz brand from Bunnings is totally useless, flies buzz straight past it. A waste of time and money. I threw the rest of them away
Not as good as others i have tried – I find that the fly papers to not seem to be very effective at attracting the flies it states on the packet that the papers contain a natural insect lure. The natural insect lure does not appear to be doing its job. In fact it would appear to be distracting the flies and they position themselves away from the papers I have used. Fly papers before… Read more
but they were Brown in colour and i found these to be very effective however these are no longer available.
The Buzz. Papers. only catch the flies by pure luck Am i using these correctly i would like to know as i do not find them to be very effective.
Great for Mozzies – Put a few outside and caught heaps of Mozzies & Bugs, don't know about flies, but great for Mozzies, no electricity, no spraying chemicals. Should relabel them fo Aussie Mozzies.
Excellent. Buzz is the best – Surprisingly the revues are not proper. Have been using Buzz since years and excellent results. All flies n flying insects are well trapped. I want to buy The Buzz but Amazon does not have. Please keep the same for sale.
Buzz fly papers attracts buyers - not flies – Sadly they look nice & white...Are sticky...Even smell half-pleasant. Trouble is: flies stay away in droves. Buzz - a product of china sold by bunnings. Chinese flies must have an acquired taste -the typical australasian house fly studiously find more satisfying alternatives
Completely ineffective – Many years ago I used good old fashioned fly paper to trap flies in the kitchen, and it worked. Well the Buzz insect control fly paper does not! I have hung 2 strips in my kitchen as directed and the flies are just not attracted to them. The flies are landing on every surface except the fly paper. I even stuck some of the fly paper to my garbage… Read more
bin and the flies landed on other parts of the bin but kept away from the fly paper!!! It is not meant to be a deterrent but something that attracts the flies and then traps them. It appears that flies have become more sophisticated and I will need a better trap to lure them than Buzz fly paper.
