6 months and my ambulance bill hasn't been paid yet – I am a volunteer who was injured at my place of volunteering. The ambulance was called to take me to the hospital. Upon receiving the ambulance bill, it was presented to Calliden, but still hasn't been paid six months later Ambulance company is threatening to turn over to collection

Poor service – Relied on me calling and emailing them. Sent emails and had no response, Had to ring several times and be quite insistent. This was regarding quite an urgent health matter. The staff I spoke to were courteous, but service was slow and relied on my actions to make claim proceed. I got the feeling that nothing would have been done unless I called...

Home Contents Ins – Don't Insure with them!!! I had a washing Mch pipe bust and flood my rented appt, they up front said I was covered so I authorised 'repairs' drying etc. Then when waiting 2 weeks for the chq to pay the tradesman was told 'not my carpet' so not insured? even after NSW gov confirmed it was my responsibility! this was 'covered' under my Ins policy so submitted claim - different section, and basically that section said claim should have been paid!! (6mths latter) finally agreed to get rid of complaint - after threatening Ombundsman etc they agreed to pay me 'exgratia' no acceptance of the liability - still waiting! apparently hitting a button to transfer funds needs a lot of behind the scenes paperwork (now paid)

their issues rectified - the review of mine by the loss adjuster took 2 months despite all our phone calls and messages. It took over 3 months to have it all fixed, when another storm wreaked some more havoc and caused more damage. In between the two storm damage the tenants had moved out (end of lease) and we were unsuccessful in finding new tenants - would you move into a house with a huge hole in the ceiling and no ETA on when it may be fixed?! No rental income for 8 weeks (of which Calliden's incompetence is mainly responsible for) and Calliden wouldn't pay on the loss of rent of which the house is insured for. Why have insurance then? Pathetic. Don't even consider Calliden (through Australian Unity) for landlords insurance. And only consider it for your house if you don't mind waiting a long time for damage to be repaired.

Car Insurance! – Dirty liars drag out claims,lie about accidents constantly tell you they are waiting for reports from police etc.Really bad service and rude customer service.Do not trust this mob

compensated! Everytime I contact them to check the progression of the claim, which I do weekly, they request more information. They even wanted to see my Bank Statements! Seriously, do Calliden think that my husband faked his heart attack? We have provided over a thousand pages of documents from Hospitals, Doctors, Specialists, Bank Statements, Notice of Assessments from the ATO, Contracts with our Customers, Invoices, Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Information on all our Investments, the list goes on and on! Come on Calliden, your going to give me a heart attack!

Do Not Insure With Calliden – My friends lodged a claim with them for Builders Warranty Insurance over a year ago now. They have done everything to not payout...in fact they now deny claim based on the policy holder...which they approved when the policy was taken out! Corporate Bullies....using their big $$ (our premiums) to scare off and out cost us "little people" The staff are rude and unresponsive. Like [name removed] they have made my friends lives as difficult as possible.

If you want service don't bother with Calliden – We lodged a claim with Calliden nearly 4 months ago. Our car is still not repaired- not their fault, BUT they are bickering with Kia about parts being a warranty issue - seriously- we hit a kangaroo with our car, the car was fine before the accident, it isn't a warranty issue, it is a claim issue! long as Kia is actively repairing our vehicle they will not step in- so if we are still in this position in another 4 months- or a year , too bad! Guess we are stuck! We have now compared the costs to RACV and found out that if we had been with RACV we would be paying $400 less a year (yes $400- not a misprint) and we would have had a hire car for as long as our car was off the road. I have always been with RACV and had claims sorted fast and problem free- unfortunately I didn't realize we had a choice of insurance with a lease company so went with these cowboys. Big mistake! Calliden you have played a big part in making the last 4 months of my life as difficult as possible Their condescending smug attitude... NOT Rude staff, bad procedures, generally antagonistic and difficult.
