Over priced! – The system is extremely hard to set up. It is just a bunch of pieces thrown together for an inflated price. The system itself is widely expensive and then the operating cost is really what gets you in the end, because you have to pay for a internet sim card monthly and the cloudx subscription monthly as well. Then on top of that, you only get 10gb… Read more

of storage on their platform unless you upgrade to 100gb which limits how much of a time lapse you get left with in the end.

When it works, it's good – We purchased a BlinkX controller for a GoPro Hero 5. It worked like it should for several month and recorded a timelapse of a construction project. But after some time it just refuses to record any footage, the unit or the software appeared to be broken. It also killed the software of the GoPro, which is now unusable. At first they weren't very helpful and looked for excuses to not replace it. But it the end they sent us a new unit, which is working fine again.

We also have a second unit, which runs since a few years without any problems.

flash. Its that simple we opted for a Canon and use a Sigma 10-20lens, for a wide angle over intersection upgrades and bridge duplication works.

Go out on site once, every 3 months and swap the 128gb card. To be honest you could select Medium quality jpeg and swap cards every 6 months. We use a 10W solar panel and 12V Lithium battery plugged into the Digicam controller.

Highly recommended. We also use a CCTV swing pole, it swings down, so you mount the solar and battery on the top 'T' Bar and the camera on the other pole.

Its easy, cost effective and save tens of thousands from a private company running the time lapse.
