metal lens- always best – I have claimed this focal point for roughly 10 years and it has served me well. Hues are exact and pictures are exceptionally sharp, with differentiate. The full scale run is particularly valuable for close-ups and significantly profits by f-stops of f/5.6 and more slow. AF is extremely quick given there is adequate encompassing light. At wide points with less light I find that the AF will in general chase a tad. I regularly get myself preparing my Speed light streak just to utilize the AF help bar. This strategy guarantees an amazingly quick and exact concentration in any condition.
Shockingly, it had to be adjusted by Canon because of a minor dropping occurrence. Prior to the occurrence, I found that it was delicate at f/2.8 and f3.2. At the point when it returned from the shop the delicateness issues were resolved.... No joke planned. I have not yet attempted the Mark II form as it has gotten a staggering measure of commendation. On the off chance that it is comparable to it supposed to be, at that point I could see myself inevitably making the overhaul, however until further notice I am content. In the event that you can discover this focal point at a sensible value you won't be disillusioned!
Too soft for the money – I've been using my 24-70 for several years. It, like many of the other 24-70 mk1 lenses is way too soft at F2.8. I work in a camera shop and the general view from customers is that they have they same problem too. From what I've seen, the newer mk2 is much much sharper and probably worth the price tag. I would give anything to go back and buy the 24-105 F4 instead. I could have used that for portraits also then (this lens is too wide for portraits on a full frame camera). Low aperture Very soft
Excellent – If your only going to have one lense for your camera this will do most tasks, no a huge zoom but ok for holiday snaps etc, picture quality is as with all other ef lenses, tops! A bit of an extra if you have a macro and larger zoom but if you only want to carry round one lense this is my choice.Very hardy in most situations, eg beach etc.Nice lense for scenery shots or group photos.Nice Quick auto focus function, does it all for you, good lens for newbie Nice lens to have in your camera bag, good basic multipurpose lense covers alot of subject requirements adequately.Good first lense None really, adequate multipurpose lens.
