Good – A great printer. This is my office printer and it does a great job. It gets a pretty good workout and seems to cope with everything very well. It is quite slow, but not significantly slower than other inkjets I've had. Cleaning and upkeep is easy, I've never had to get out the manual because the driver/software runs you through all of it. regularly makes a big difference, as does using the correct ink. My predecessor used refilled cartridges and her printing was bodgy and the printer got clogged very quickly. Cheap ink, quality scanner, quality printing, easy to clean/service Slow, like all inkjets, and a bit bulky

Excellent – The MP730 is a great all round small/home office machine. It is reliable, economical and user friendly. The software makes it really straightforward to use and the quality is of a professional standard. Highly recommended. Great quality printing/copying, easy to use software for scanning. Economical on ink, fast printing. very bulky, not for small spaces, incoming faxes complicated to receive without a dedicated phoenline.

Excellent – This unit represents excellent value and sells for less than what I bought my first printer for. The unit provides good service and has seen the kids through years 10 -12 and has now embarked on a university career. It meets all of our needs although its shape is a little awquard. The shape is irrelevant when you take into account how versitile… Read more

the machine is. Its versitile, does the obvious print, scan, fax and photo copy and is surprisingly quick for an ink jet printer. It really has some good features with the scnning OCR software with charicter recognition. Reproduction is good and everything works flawlessly. I researched the consumable cost (inks) and found I would be in front with the Cannon after about 4 - 5 cartridge changes (i'm on my 3rd black in 9 months). Need a second telephone line and I havnt figured out how to stop it making noise when you answer a incomming call. it wont turn off once it grabs the call and is simply too greedy and wants to talk to every thing.
