Hi, We were approached by a seller of the same Triton ute, based in WA ready for deployment wanting to sell the ute fast. Under the name 'Corey Peterson' The Ad was on Auto Trader, I have reported it also. Does any one know my husband signed into the 'escrow' service providers website but thats all. Can the scammer get anything from that?? I have changed his email password. Any advice is greatly appreciated. TIA
I have received today the exact email that Ian Gordon Livingstone has sent to many of you. He is saying that he will drive the Holden Barina to me from $3000 cash, I only want a small car to go to work, my home is in a different state. This is very disappointing!!!!

No. Car guide is responsible for my loss. They should check the authenticity of the seller. But, they didn’t do. They are responsible for my loss.
This scammer name is really Michael Timothy Clyne guys that’s his real name the scammer

If it's the same scam I was almost caught up in (I stopped everything when I saw the name on the bank account was different to the name in the email), it looks like several different names are being used, but they're all using the same bank. Bankwest in WA. BSB 306-453. This is a legit bank BSB. Also, it's very unlikely anyone will get their money back. Banks will not cover your losses if you send the money out. You are authorizing the transfer. If someone takes money from your account, and you had no idea, then you are covered. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances, and I feel for everyone who sent money out. It's a very clever scam, and scary.

Anyone on here that got scammed by Ian Gordon did you get your money back from your bank . Unfortunately I wish I had found this prior to depositing money to him . I have notified my bank what are my chances
Did he get you to pay through an escrow company? As that's what he did to us and trying to work out how to get it back..

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I work for the Department of Defence and I was transferred to a new military base in WA. I am providing Pre-Afghanistan Deployment Training (Desert Training). If you are still interested in buying my car, I’m asking $8,000 (I’ve lowered the price because I’m running out of time). The car is Road Worthy and Rego until 04/2021. It is very well maintained, always garage kept, excellent condition, runs and sounds 100% perfect with no leaks or noises. Engine starts right up, sounds great and there are no strange noises. No hail damage. I have to sell the car as fast as I can because in three weeks I will be deployed to Afghanistan and I’ll stay there for a while. I intend to buy a new one when I get back home. I also need to know if you have the cash to buy the car, because there are a lot of interested buyers. The car is here with me at the military base but you don’t have to worry about the distance I can bring the car to you on my expenses, so if you're interested, let me know.
