Operator speaking too fast and juvenile, ending every sentence with 'no problem - I'll work hard to get you the very best rate'. The end state was - it was the highest quote from all insurance companies (in the range of +$2k) , and that the Operator has NO influence over 'the very best rate'. Its all predicated on Risk Profiles, as you would… Read more
expect. Found the engagement shallow, aimed at a naive client as opposed to someone older and...ultimately useless to me.
Do not trust Car Quotes online – Do not use this group. [name removed] from Car Quotes online negotiated the purchase of a VW Amarok for me. I paid $1500 deposit which was to be paid to the dealership 48 hour before delivery. They have not lived up to their contract and [name removed] does not answer his phone or return your calls. The Car Dealership is not able to retrieve the deposit held by Car Quotes.
BMW in Western Australia. Saved 8000 on a BMW M2 – They emailed me this morning and asked that I post my email to them from late last year. " Thanks guys at Car Quote. My new car arrived today and its the best feeling watching it parked in my driveway. I think that I am scared to drive it. You guys are unreal and this email is so that Roberts boss knows that he should get a pay rise... To that… Read more
end i am ccing you both and hope you dont mind. "
I would add that these guys don't build the cars or deliver them. The dealers do. They are invisible when it works and the dealers take the order and do the rest. Even if my car was the wrong car and arrived late.. Thats not the Quotes Company - thats the dealer isnt it?" My car was unreal and they were professional and good natured
Great Car - Could Not be happier – The bloke on the phone was really good. They found me a car that could not be found and then delivered it to my door. There are good and there are average in the motor industry. I never find great. These guys were very very very good. I would recommend them and I would use them again. The car is also bloody good. Shiv the salesperson was knowledgable and really into my car. It is a Mustang so that helped.
Don't go near them – In April 2016 I decided to buy a new model SUV just released and after visiting various dealers found delivery dates of up to 4 months for the one I wanted and not very competitive pricing. Tried CQO who came back to me within hours with a good price and delivery to be advised, but suggested no more than 3 months. I took the deal and paid $3500.00… Read more
deposit, refundable if the car was not delivered on time or within 30 days of due date. After 3 months of trying to get a delivery date and CQO wanting me to sign over the trade-in, they offered a temporary Mazda 3 at a no cost with guaranteed buy back for me to use until what I wanted came. When the paperwork for the Mazda came the price was not guaranteed and there were significant other costs. At this point I decided to cancel the deal because all I was getting from CQO were excuses. They then refused to return my deposit saying they could still supply but no date was ever given and that under the Motor Traders Act they could withhold 5% of the contract value. This was dodgy too so I got my solicitor on the job who advised CQO that since a delivery date was still not given, it was legally deemed to be 30 days from the contract date. CQO then offered $1000.00 refund, eventually agreed to $2000.00 but then paid only $1500.00. We decided to not waste any more energy with people like this as my costs were starting to be more than the return was worth. Even at the end, CQO kept trying verbally to get me to take some other deal or car, not understanding everything they said was never supported by the details on the paperwork when it came. Make up your own mind if you want to deal with them!
Not that comfortable with the process – I chose to purchase a new car using Car Quotes Online because I didn't want the hassle of haggling with dealers. CQO (name removed) got back to me promptly, and was initially very swift and attentive. Early on I asked at what point in the process I would be obliged to go ahead with a purchase through them. I believe the answer is that I'm under … Read more
no obligation until the contract is agreed, but instead I was told that they were spending time and effort on my case and it would be poor form to back out. Bad sign. I should have walked away at that point. They use all sorts of hard sell tactics, not unlike the dealers, including pitching a high start price ("this is just so you know the valuation for insurance") to make subsequent prices appear better. I was also pestered by associated companies offering finance, trade in, car accessories (just like the dealers). Regardless, I continued and ended up with an ok price for the car I wanted within 24 hours. They then completely lost interest in me. I had no communication for days. They forgot to send the order to the dealer. The dealer then tried to offer me a different car because the one I wanted was no longer available. When I asked CQO to intervene in order to secure the car I'd agreed on, they made a half hearted attempt. In the end the car I received was a 2015 model despite multiple assurances that it would be 2016. The delivery to my door was good, but pretty much everything else was not. DON'T DO IT!
Would not recommend them to anyone – My experience with cqo began ok they found me a car That I wanted good price. From there it all went down hill. The car came from Queensland and was getting delivered to melbourne and was promised that I'd have it in three weeks but received it nine weeks, then trying to get in touch with them to get answers in regards of were the car is how far… Read more
away it is of getting delivered etc I could not get through to them I'd leave msgs and don't get no responses, and when I do get in touch with them eventually on the odd occasion I'd get treated unfairly spoken to very rudely!! My experience with cqo was very stressful and tiring I would not recommend them to nobody.
Best service and professional experience – I went to my local dealer in Port Macquarie NSW tried to get a good deal. I saw an ad online for car quotes.com and gave them a call, best thing ever, within 2 days they had organized the best price across Sydney. I went for the deal and saved $2200 off rrp. $ 1230. Less than local dealership and they included delivery for free with a full tank of gas. Worth the try!!!!
